I went to see the fireworks at midnight ... but since I'm super bad at fireworks photography, I ended up making a video :) which I might upload !

Here in Canada 2017 is a big deal, where the country is celebrating its 150th birthday as an independent nation. As most of you know, Canada's national symbol (as far as its flag), is a red maple leaf. The color is more of a fall color, but my Crimson King Maples do a pretty great spring facsimile. I took this one with the Zeiss Milvus 2/135mm with a circular polarizer to intensify the color a bit. The bokeh is all Zeiss! Happy sesquicentennial, Canada! (Say that three times fast!!)

Happy New Year to all my friends here on Flickr. You have been most generous with your comments and favorites and comments. 2020 was a memorable year in so many ways and at the same time one we would like to forget.
I am in awe at all the medical staff who have been asked to perform above and beyond normal conditions fore many months and more to go. And they have willingly accepted that request.
Hindsight is 20 20 has another meaning.
As much grief as this girl gives me with the changing of her look, I love her so much! We've had ups and downs, but I think she'll always be number one in my heart. Happy 1st birthday, Fable!
This is one of the most photographed lighthouse's on the California central coastline. This is Pigeon Point Lighthouse located between Santa Cruz in the south to San Francisco in the north. If you notice the white fence is in need of repair.

Glad to see the back of 2020 like most of the world!
I’ve had bad years, stressful years but this has to top it all, as the most horrendous year ever!! I don’t think I’ll ever get over loosing the love of my life Richard. All I can say to people is make sure you have all your affairs in order and treasure what you have, it’s not nice when their gone!
I’m thankful I have my Emily and a lovely family and great friends too. Don’t feel 2021 will be much better but live in hope the vaccine works and we can return to some normality.
