Happy Thanksgiving Day from Tennessee, USA. The holiday often gets overshadowed in the commercial blitz of Christmas. However, a day that is set aside for the express purpose of being thankful for the things that we do have is an amazing thing. We are blessed and I am thankful.
The Ladies' Home Journal was a long-running American women's magazine, published from 1883 to 2016. It began as The Ladies' Home Journal and Practical Housekeeper, eventually becoming one of the most influential women's magazines of the 20th century. The magazine was known for its focus on women's issues, household advice, and social concerns, and it played a role in the development of women's magazines as a medium for cultural and political expression.
It is still my daughter's birthday here in the UK and I did promise her that I would return to Flickr and post a photo before day's end.
I am going to keep this one short and sweet and my next photo I will explain why I disappeared.

The first time I went up, I only had my little HP Photosmart. The Fuji Finepix made all the difference. Just a pity I can't now go back to see the difference with my Panasonic.

The Maple Leaf is getting a bit beat up in the turbulent weather these days but it still stands strong against the squalls. Yes, that's a metaphor. It's hard to stay silent but that's as political as I'm going to get on this platform. I'm determined to keep it as my happy place.

I love Sky because he's always happy and he makes me feel happy! Most of my dolls are angry or grumpy, but Sky is sweet and... um... bouncy. I kept his default name because he's a bit of an airhead and it just really suited him! :D
