In my memory of childhood, it was only around Christmas when we could eat oranges, tangerines and bananas.
They were probably gifts from the Communist regime to brainwash us into being grateful and obedient. Nonetheless it imprinted in my mind forever. For me, oranges are fruits for the holidays. Happy Tangerines! :)

Red water dropped into red water. Jessops 360AFD flash 1/16th power and YN460 flash on 1/32nd power both facing onto white paper behind the glass without diffusers. 1/200 exposure, F/20, ISO 100. The room was quite light today, annoyingly, and I didn't have time to wait until dark, so if you view the original size one you can see a tiny bit of motion blur unfortunately.

The Maple Leaf is getting a bit beat up in the turbulent weather these days but it still stands strong against the squalls. Yes, that's a metaphor. It's hard to stay silent but that's as political as I'm going to get on this platform. I'm determined to keep it as my happy place.

I love Sky because he's always happy and he makes me feel happy! Most of my dolls are angry or grumpy, but Sky is sweet and... um... bouncy. I kept his default name because he's a bit of an airhead and it just really suited him! :D
