Completed Oct 12,2008. This was ordered by a friend for her 2 month old niece.Since her room theme/color will change when she is older I used a rainbow of colors that should compliment almost any girls room . It will be put in an 10X13(aprox.) frame with an 8X10 matte.Their are other close up pics in my photostream and a pic of it matted and framed. This took me aprox 20 hours to complete.
This pic is a close up of a paper quilling order that I completed Oct 12,2008.A friend ordered this for her 2 month old niece for Christmas. See my photostream to view this completed order which took me aprox 20 hours to finish.
This was completed Dec.2008 for a young lady named Emma who is 6 years old. Her Aunt Amy gave me several ideas of things that she liked(dresses and flowers were two of the four theme choices).I like to weave quilling strips, so many of the dresses are woven on the top. I tried to make each one different but keep the same shape of dress.I drew the dress pattern, slid it between the quilling board and a sheet of wax paper then followed the pattern to keep the dresses the same size. The shade of green on one of the dresses is called "Willow",it's one of my favorites. It has little pieces of fibers or plants in it(see the detail pic of the green dress and view it Larger to see what I mean).
This was commissioned for a baby's bedroom. I have come to like the simplicity of this(and my back appreciated the fact that it didn't take the usual 1 month to complete) ;o)
See my photostream to view the other paper quilling art that I've made.
btw, if you commented on the original pic(darker version), please feel free to "re-comment" since I deleted it and replaced it with this brighter version(thank you "edit photo" button ;o) )
I love koi's and love to made paper quilling art so it was just a matter of time before I combined the two. These koi's are in 2 5X7 frames. Their eyes are made from a white tight coil of paper with a black sequin as the pupil(can't really see their eyes in this pic though). I gave them, as gifts, to my husbands family in Thailand the summer of 2007.Koi's have such a variety of colors that I'll have to make some more when I get minute(this time I'll keep them for myself though ;0)
****2009 Update:I made a larger version that's for sale on etsy, see my profile for a link
This is a close-up of my newest paper quilling creation. It is framed in a Black 11X14 shadowbox frame (removed for this close-up). Each koi has aprox. 30 quilled pcs. The waterlily is made from Peach colored cardstock that was cut and shaped by hand. The lily pads have faux water droplets on them which were a last minute addition that I'm glad I added(it was missing something without them). This is available in my shop(see profile for a link). There is one already in there that has a different color theme.
Thanks for looking.
I recently added faux water droplets to the lily pads and the water lily to add a little more dimension. This pic is before it was framed in a black shadowbox frame.View my profile for a link on how to purchase this if you like it:o)
This was in a 5X7 frame. It is paper quilling and paper sculpture. This was a gift for my sister-n-law in Thailand. She loved the colors of the male duck(hard to believe mandarin ducks are really this color).
This is what my quilling board looks like when I'm working on an order. In this pic,it looks like a twister went through the farm and sent some tractors flying;o)
Just completed this Aug.12,2008.It was ordered for a baby shower. The finished order will be put in a shadowbox frame and then I'll put it in my photostream in a few days.

This is a close up(you can't see the oak frame in this pic) of an order that I completed Aug.14th 2008 for a baby shower on the 17th. Since the parents of the soon-to-be born baby have a farm, the theme was farm animals and specifically John Deere and Case tractors.
Felt retro game boy case, Double layers of felt, hand cut and sewn, scratch free velcro closure to keep your gadgets secure
This was completed March 2009. It was ordered for a baby shower gift. The colors and theme compliment the baby's nursery which is called "all-star".The frame(not shown in this pic) was painted Navy blue since the color of wood in the bedroom is unknown. This took aprox. 2 1/2 weeks(20 hours) to complete.
I have been having so much fun making these this summer.I'd take my sewing basket with me when my husband would go fishing or when my son was in summer school I'd wait in the car and make these for 2 1/2 hours.I have a few more to make(I'm up to 23) then I'll decide what the heck to do with all these ice cream cones:o)I gave one to my daughter Sunee(4 yrs),she wears it on a piece of decorative cord as a necklace.I've made 2 for my nieces(they picked out what color felt, beads and ribbon they wanted on theirs),they might hook theirs to their backpacks when school starts. Some of the ice cream cones are fruit scented and the ones that have brown felt are scented like chocolate.Ahh....so many color combinations/scent choices;I'm a happy girl:o)
This order was made for a little girl on her 4th birthday.
She liked to watch Shirley Temple with her Grandmother so the dresses were inspired by some of the dresses worn by her on the shows.See my photostream to view other ones that I've made:o)
This is a photo of a recent project that I was working on. It's now complete and in my photostream (see "Audrey")
I made this for my daughter Sunee when I was pregnant with her.It goes with the girlie/Parisian theme in her room and matches a paper quilling collage that I made for her too(in my photostream).Completed March 2005
This paper quilling is in an 8X10 oak shadow box frame. The colors are vibrant and each quilled piece is very detailed....the bikini has flowers on the straps, the hawaiian shirt has flowers on it and a buttoned front, the sunglasses have purple lenses and dots on the frame, etc. See the "all sizes" button to get a closer view :o)
Update:if you're interested this and some closer pics, please see my profile for a link
It's a little brooch!
2 x 2 1/5 inches.
7 x 4.5 cm.
wet and needlefelted, with some prefelt for the flower stems. I couldn't get the purple color to show up as well as it looks in real. I think, this is a bit overexposed, but it is the best I could get. :-) I did a picnik, it's looking more closer to it's original colors! yeah!
As promised, I said I'd complete a paper quilling collage before Christmas and so I did! My kids and I love Domo so what better than to make than this big monster? (my husband says he looks like a brownie).Since glass glare is a total annoyance, this pic was taken unframed.See my photostream to see the rest of the collage:o) Also see my profile if you really like this-click on the link...Thanks for looking:o)
I made this husky for a friend who used to have 2 Huskies. She said her female Husky(named "Bumper") would eat carrots, so instead of a bone I gave her a carrot which fits in her back-pocket. The doggy is made from felt and is from the same pattern that my spotted dog was made from(see my photostream). The carrot was made from non-woven fabric with a felt tongue and carrot-top.I gave the doggy a pink, white and blue pony bead hanger in case my friend wants to hang it up on her car mirror.
