I made this plushie for my daughter Sunee in Aug 2009.She's been asking me to make her something that was a "head with eyes and hair".I kinda made her to look like my daughter with her dark pigtails but my kids say that it looks like their aunt Ann(o'well).My supplies were: 30mm safety eyes,felt(colors:champagne,black,pink,and sparkly red),flower buttons(earrings),hello kitty ribbon,black twisted cord(pigtails),batting,Black embroidery floss(eyelashes) and of course thread.Also she has a Cherry Blossom scent added to her stuffing(I LOVE it,it smells so clean).

I've been thinking that this would be cute to make another one as a purse or a wall hanging(with a little silk ribbon loop on the back).We''ll see...so many ideas but only 2 hands:o)

I made this to replace a stuffed dog that my son begged off of my niece(Alys) in Thailand 2 years ago.Princess Dotty will be on her way to meet Alys in October. She's a little scared since this will be her first flight but she will be comforted by her puppy siblings that are soon to be born(crafted) and given to other family members.She's so sweet and smells like baby powder.

She is made of: felt,safety eyes,safety nose,vinyl collar with grommets,gingham bow,poly stuffing,baby powder scent and lots of Love:o)

I've been wanting to make a Kokeshi Doll for a long time.After making one for my daughter I adjusted my pattern a little and finally came up with this.It's not exactly a Kokeshi but it's inspired by my favorite things on them.These are made with felt,fabric,buttons,safety eyes,ribbon,tassels, and poly batting.They each have an obi pocket(on the back) for little trinkets,notes or a lost tooth(they're big enough for a folded dollar to fit into).This version is lightly scented with an orange cream scent(yum!).If you like her.see my profile for a link:o)

Used Organic 100% Cotton Yarn. 30 stitches across, 30 double stitch rows down. Add ruffles to the bottom if you'd like.

Reduce, change the way you spend your money - no more paper towels! Yea!

added texture stitches

I gotta say ... I kindof hate him right now!

An 'easy 1-hour octopus' pattern turned into 6 hours for me. And the whole time I was sewing on his legs he was smiling at me. I wanted to punch him.

But, he is cute!

I'll post the pattern later - I'm sort of sick of him right now!

I saw some rings made from buttons and decided to make one of my own.My supplies were: 2" circular piece of fabric,red felt petals(I cut them), vintage triangle crystal beads,adjustable ring blank(called "beadable ring blank"),button kit and of course, thread.I like to wear this for fun(no washing dishes with it) and I love that I found a good use for my granny's triangular beads that I've had for over 15 years.The colors on this remind me of a piece of watermelon- the essence of Summer:o)

playing with glitter & crafting for the holidays today.

This is the second boy Kokeshi Doll that I've made.I'd list him on etsy but my other son is begging me for him and I don't want to break his heart:o( Each of these felt and fabric dolls are about 15" tall and filled with poly batting.

*update:My twins each got one of these for Christmas,they keep them on their shelf with their diecast cars

Been crafting more with resin lately... I wish this humid weather would pass.

I made this felt strawberry for my mom for Mother's Day(2008).The brown felt is textured which can't be seen well in this photo.I have other pics of it in my photostream where you can see the texture better. I put a string on it so she could hang it up in her car like an air freshener.The stuffing inside it is scented with "chocolate dipped strawberry" scented oil.I'm not sure how long it will smell good but, at least when the scent is gone it'll still look good. ;o)

Check it out ... Bamboo yarn! This was a special order from a customer.

BAMBOO: Silky, soft, luxurious ... these are just some of the words I'd use to describe bamboo yarn. It's softer than cashmere and just as absorbant as cotton. Bamboo yarn is beautiful and the colors are soft and have a beautiful sheen to them.

Benefits of Bamboo:

* Odor and mildew resistant

* Bamboo is grown without pesticides

* Very absorbant

* Strong

* Environmentally friendly

* Machine washable and dryable

* Naturally antibaterial

* Biodegradable

This is the very 1st artist trading card I made. It was given away in a swap with a quilling friend in April 2008.

@Regrann from @thepurplepumpkinshop - My daughter loves the new Snow White wig so much she wore it all day yesterday. I love when my girls get excited for new wigs! All of my potholders are old and yucky. So I decided to make a new one for my kitchen.

Crocheted tea towel - 1st one I've made with this organic/eco friendly 100% cotton yarn. It's super thick and absorbant! It's so much thicker and more absorbant.

Is this technically a tea towel?

I made this turtle Dec 2008 but it's not quite done(she needs toenails). Honestly my kids don't really like this one :o(

She has a back pocket that will hold her poor little fish til she's hungry ;oP

This tiger was made for my husband who was born in the year of the tiger.When I found the tiger printed felt I thought it would be perfect to use(instead of having to sew on stripes).The pattern for this was from a book called "Tiny Toys" and as usual, I changed some things since I don't always have the right supplies.He has this hanging on the mirror in his Toyota Yaris.

Looky what a fun mail day I had today! Got my swap package from Pixieval & she has crocheted a blanket with Audrey Hpburn from Breakfast at Tiffany's!!!! I'm in awe! This is one of the best swap things I've ever received! Thank you pixieval!!!!! Loving it!!!!

This is the LINUX penguin named TUX. My computer geek son wanted me to make this when I was learning to make softies from felt. The pattern was found on the internet( search linux tux plush pattern). I put p.e.pellets in the bottom to help it stay upright.

If you haven't used hand crocheted wash cloths yet, you're missing out. They not only wash great, but feel soft, and are durable. Not to mention being easier on the budget and environment.
