A couple of days ago, the dishwasher handle switch gave up again - Sugru wasn't rigid enough to hold its shape under regular compression and friction. So I measured out the critical dimensions, designed and printed off an insert to address the worn-down nubs.
Of course, once that was addressed the electronics died completely! They were already only half-working, but the previously-glitchy switches were probably what killed them in the end.
Replacement board(s) ordered. Once those arrive though, I think I'll reverse engineer the broken board and open source the results. Who knows what may result? ;-)

We had a cowboy night at the Chapel tonight so I was able to get this shot of a noose for the handle with care challenge
Just out browsing.
Wow, does that sound nice.
Yes, we still have to wear masks (for a few more weeks) but what a difference two little shots make in how I feel about being out “in public”.

This is a handle on the back of a lorry which I snapped as we walked around the Red Bull temporary paddock in Milton Keynes. I thought it might make a good mono shot.
Edited in Silver Efex Pro 2. Better on black.

The knife blades are marked "MARDI GRAS STAINLESS." The backs of the forks and spoons are marked "STAINLESS KOREA."
I looked up the name MARDI GRAS STAINLESS on Google and found listings for this flatware on Replacements, Ltd. Apparently the line was sold by Washington Forge and came in a large range of handle colors.
Handle with care, lest you break it. Which I apparently just did. Damn it.

of course not a design by peter zumthor, even it's in the wall of kolumba museum, it's a detail from Maria in den Trümmern, designed by Gottfried Böhm as an extension of his chapel in 1956.. that's a detail, isn't it?
it's just marvelous and i like to touch it........................
but i think a lot of people will thinking this is a peter zumthor.
But what he did is that "he" was destroying the building to the left of the chapel addition which was also designed by G. Böhm. At the end of that building was a really awesome concrete wall (red!) with exposed veins and aggregate. it was just an amazing wall, a peter zumthor wall by Gottfried Böhm..................A SHAME FOR THAT!
And i don't know how Peter zumthor was thinking when he had to destroy that wall, because for sure he'd have love it....................

on toddler knife. It was a gift from friends in Denmark when our son was born. It is a beautiful little knife.

These are . . .a true "HAND - REST" ! !
WOW ! What a difference. These are on my hummel.
This door handle is to be found on the door of a large church next to the park in the centre of Bad Homburg, near Frankfurt.
Rusted Gate Handle. I thought the rust colors with the shadows of the metal were so interesting. Asolo, Italy. Color photography by Donna Corless.
A pair of enjoined brass knobs decorating the door of the small chapel, which is adjacent to the Carmelite Priory in Manoel Theatre Street in Valletta. It is an inconspicuous door but the workmanship of this pair of door knobs is very artistic. Beauty can be appreciated in even the smallest artifact made by Man as one has to appreciate the long hours of work which were needed before this pair of door knobs were made. They are in a very good condition but the continuous rubbing by the devotees going into the chapel has somewhat smoothened the brass work - MALTA
Am sort of collecting door handles.
Have not yet uploaded the collection.
These went up as a sort of visual rhyme with the howler monkeys.
One of Joannes many garage sale hammers - this was missing a metal wedge, and the wooden one was loose. Original finish was foil label on red painted handle as shown. Absolutely o markings!
Removed wedges, cut handle off by about 3/8" new wedges and now SOLID and TIGHT!
Gets put in the hammer drawer for use as needed.
Any idea as to label aand/or name?
