handbuilt stoneware, fired by Russell Wee at the 2008 Raku Hoolaulea. stroobist info. 1 small octa bank with a Armatar / Vivitar 283 barebulb modified. 1/8 power. the light was facing camera position with a small piece of shiny aluminum foil as a fill at left of camera position.

Everybody was passing this by but it was the gem of the show. The seat was a reversed banana seat. Had a 3-speed shifted with two daggers pointed right at the rider's nuts. The handlebar was sheet metal with two balls on the ends, painted with eyes. It was sized for a kid.
Handbuilt stoneware tray and 4 cups with relief print, underglaze and glaze, cone 6 oxidation. At the Center for the Arts Evergreen, "Fine Art of Craft Show" opening April 25 - May 23, 2008. Platter is 11" x 11" x 1", cups are 3" x 3" each
I bought this early hand built brass model recently. It is un-restored, but runs very well. These early hand built models are extremely rare, with only a handful in the world, for me, they are an exciting find for my collection. This model is unmarked, therefore, I am not sure who the maker was, but, I suspect it was made by Tetsudo or Kawai Models sometime between 1950 and 1955. (Sorry for the bad photos, these were the best I could get using my iphone).
This interesting work is handbuilt stoneware and varnish by Clayton Bailey, 1972. It is displayed in the Henry Art Gallery on the University of Washington campus.

Major Bill Dunce was ex army and changed his name to Bondun for the purpose of marketing his frames. They were built by his brother Alec Dunce. Bill had married an Italian lady so the language was familiar. It was also fashionable at the time with Hetchins and several others using Latin, Italian and French to give their products that Continental flavour.
