me that adopting a pair or trio of expensive, well-bred Rottweiler pups wouldn’t
freak out my landlord (building owner has banned all dogs from upstairs units
like mine and dogs over like 60 pounds from downstairs…) or my sweetie
(who still has a seven-inch scar on the back of one leg from a big dog trying
to hamstring him when he was a young kid). Yes, they are adorable fuzzy
little balls of wiggle, but sadly, no, I can’t take any of them home.
Still, it’s fantastic to see for myself that some folks have things well
in hand—their dogs are structurally sound with excellent temperaments,
and the puppies are being very well socialized. It always does my heart
good to find a “backyard breeder” who chooses healthy stock, breeds
in very small numbers (this is the only litter they’ll have this year, I
think), and takes good care of the offspring before re-homing them. As
for Louie himself, he’s been nothing but decent to me although I’m
fairly sure he’s at least as scary as he sometimes looks.

chuck ordered and entire plate of squid for himself ... we finished off three more ...and i had the painful experience of having leg cramps in both hamstrings at the end ... strange indeed ...

Haven't climbed this hill for three weeks, so I was surprised to see an improvement. Chalk it up to trying to getting stronger from tailing Dyami and Jeremiah when we rode to San Jose two weekends ago. Also, I've using my hamstrings more for climbing. Don't know if that's because my quads have finally caught up, or because my technique's improved.
