We spent our day off at the lake today. This was taken at Mansfield Dam Park. Check out how much higher the water is now compared to 14 months ago. All that rain in the spring and early summer was a blessing.
We also got stopped by the game warden on our way back to the marina.
Bonus: I'm such a wuss and so out of shape that I think I slightly strained my right hamstring trying to slalom ski. I'm not in pain, but it feels a little weird.

Gwen continues stretching this time working on her hamstrings. To completely capture her movements I made sure I was directly in front of her, but a little higher up. So, I sat in a chair as I took the picture. For this last photo I focused on an affect called drama that darkens the photos in lighter places. It tends to add a dramatic, intense feel to pictures which is what I was going for here. I settled with an affect called drama 2 that I used for this photo.

Nunn, who had already qualified for Team USA in the 50K race walk for the London Olympic Games, used the event as a training walk and stopped around the 10k mark with a nagging hamstring. Doris is an African Ground Hornbill & will spend the rest of her life at the Exotic Pet Refuge, Deeping St. James. She was born in 1950 at London Zoo. She was born with a hamstring injury & vets could do nothing to improve how she walks, but she has lived with this for all of her life & although she hobbles about a bit, it doesnt seem to deter her.
