Ha Long Bay, which literally means "descending dragon bay", is UNESCO World Heritage Site in northern Vietnam. The Bay belongs to Ha Long City and features thousands of limestone karsts and isles in a wide range of shapes and sizes. Ha Long Bay covers an area of approximately 1,533 square kilometres including 1,960 to 2,000 islets, most of which are limestone. The highest density of these islets (775) is concentrated in an area of 334 square kilometres. It is estimated that this bay has gone through various stages of change over a period of 500 million years.

This has been called the last known active locomotive in Jenks blue. Judging from the busted cab window and rusted wheels, it's no longer active.

There are several hypotheses to explain the origin of the Ha! Ha. Chroniclers of answering this question, but about another bay of the same name, located on the north bank of the river, saying that this name comes from the cry of admiration that escapes the lips of all excursionists, to aspect of this beautiful body of water framed by picturesque landscapes. Sir James Lemoine, drawing on local traditions, said that the Ha! Ha! were many complaints from stranded vessels shipwrecked on the reefs near the island of Bic on the rock and Alcide. Others say we rather wanted to describe the characteristic sound like the complaint that occur when the waves rush over the rock Alcide. Another explanation is the story of a woman who lost her baby into the water as it moved along the shore, back when the only communication channel between Rimouski and Trois-pistoles was the river. While unfortunate, mad with grief, asked the treacherous wave to return the body of her child, she heard, above the sound of the waves, strange accents ... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ... said the raging waves. The next day, the sky was bright and the sea calmed. But, from seaward, a soft and caressing voice still sang with the rhythm of a lullaby: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ... The waves lulled her child.

The Ha’penny Bridge.

Accepted as the symbol of Dublin - officially: the Wellington Bridge after the ‘Iron Duke’ - the bridge was opened in 1816. Cast at Coalbrookdale in Shropshire in England, the bridge acquired its unofficial moniker from the toll paid to cross the river – one old half penny. The bridge was the only pedestrian bridge on the Liffey until the Millennium bridge further up was opened in 2000.

The bridge has three lamps supported by curved ironwork over the walkway. In a bad state of repair, the bridge was closed in 2001 for major repair. It was reopened, with its original paint colour restored and changed made at the ends to allow standing room for pedestrians before crossing the road. The original line of the decking was restored.
