Nuestro Vivero se basa en proyectos para la conservación de la vegetación de la reserva natural, así como de especies en peligro de extinción. Todas las plantas del Vivero Xel-Há, tienen un valor histórico que data de la antigua cultura maya, y que son de vital importancia hoy en día, para las comunidades de la Península de Yucatán.

Xel-Ha's Nursery is home to a wide variety of native plants. Our nursery is based on projects for the conservation of the natural vegetation of the reserve, as well as endangered species. All plants in the nursery have historical value dating back to the ancient Mayan culture, and are of vital importance today for the communities of the Yucatan Peninsula.

Porte Aperte può essere considerata il punto d’arrivo di un programma diversificato di orientamento alla scelta, che ha lo scopo di raggiungere tutti i soggetti coinvolti nel processo decisionale: studenti neo-maturi, genitori, docenti delle scuole superiori.
La giornata si è aperta con il saluto delle Autorità Accademiche e cittadine, cui è seguita l’apertura dell’area espositiva allestita sotto i portici dell'Ateneo dove docenti, giovani ricercatori e studenti tutor dialogheranno con le future matricole sulle specificità dei Corsi di studio attivi all’Università di Pavia.
Grazie alle testimonianze e agli interventi durante gli speakers’ corner, gli studenti hanno potuto conoscere i servizi offerti dalla Segreteria Studenti, l'esperienza di comunità nei Collegi universitari, i percorsi d'eccellenza dell'Istituto di Studi Superiori (IUSS) e le opportunità del programma Erasmus.
Il personale del COR, del Centro Linguistico, del Centro Assistenza per gli studenti con disabilità e con DSA, delle Biblioteche Universitarie e di altri servizi, è rimasto a disposizione durante tutta la giornata per fornire informazioni sulle proprie attività.
A Porte Aperte sono state presenti anche le realtà che in Università si occupano di attività culturali e sportive. In particolare per lo sport, il Centro Universitario Sportivo (CUS), offre e organizza attività che vanno dai corsi propedeutici alla pratica agonistica ai più alti livelli.
Nel pomeriggio è stato possibile partecipare a visite organizzate presso alcune strutture universitarie e collegiali.
Nella stessa giornata di Porte Aperte, alle ore 18.00, si è tenuto l'Incontro con le famiglie, un momento specifico di avvicinamento con l'Università pensato per i genitori delle future matricole per illustrare il "campus" dell'Ateneo, i percorsi formativi e i servizi, le caratteristiche e il contesto cittadino in cui è inserito: una città a misura di studente.
In contemporanea con Pavia si è tenuto un Porte Aperte a Cremona, città della musica e di Stradivari, con i suoi Corsi di laurea in Musicologia, in Conservazione e restauro dei beni culturali e in Scienze letterarie e dei beni culturali.
Il Dipartimento di Musicologia e Beni culturali si è presentato con un OPEN DAY/OPEN NIGHT ricco di eventi.

hôm nay tự dưng nhớ Hà Nội đến nao lòng.. partly because autumn here is almost as cold as early winter in Hanoi. There's really no place like Home! :-)
The past few weeks in Paris have been so enjoyable to me that I think of staying here longer than I planned. I don't know how soon I'll be home again, not sooner than 1 year plus I guess.
Last Saturday, my Bear & me did go to the adoption farm nearby Paris with full hope, & came back alone without a cute dog. We wanted to adopt a 4-year old labrador named Altos there (there's adoption fee of ~130euro), but they said our apartment's too small for him, & he liked to live in a house with garden. Too bad! Anyway, we'll find through internet to buy a puppy, hope to get one soon :>.

There are several hypotheses to explain the origin of the Ha! Ha. Chroniclers of answering this question, but about another bay of the same name, located on the north bank of the river, saying that this name comes from the cry of admiration that escapes the lips of all excursionists, to aspect of this beautiful body of water framed by picturesque landscapes. Sir James Lemoine, drawing on local traditions, said that the Ha! Ha! were many complaints from stranded vessels shipwrecked on the reefs near the island of Bic on the rock and Alcide. Others say we rather wanted to describe the characteristic sound like the complaint that occur when the waves rush over the rock Alcide. Another explanation is the story of a woman who lost her baby into the water as it moved along the shore, back when the only communication channel between Rimouski and Trois-pistoles was the river. While unfortunate, mad with grief, asked the treacherous wave to return the body of her child, she heard, above the sound of the waves, strange accents ... Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ... said the raging waves. The next day, the sky was bright and the sea calmed. But, from seaward, a soft and caressing voice still sang with the rhythm of a lullaby: Ha! Ha! Ha! Ha! ... The waves lulled her child.
