NS 202 heads up the H-Line at Troutville, passing the N&W CPLs guarding the siding. These intermodals were moved off the H-Line to the Southern via Lynchburg a few years ago.
In late 2009 & early 2010 the B&H 422 was on the LA&L. On Febraury 8, 2010 the 422 & LA&L 425 pull Barilla Pasta empties into a short siding in Avon, NY. The crew would then grab some loads from the tracks at far right and spot them at Barilla. After that is done they will add the empties to their train and head to Genesee Jct.

The D&H guys were always friendly. Engineer Walt Forsyth and brakeman E.A. Santanna, with an Oneonta Yard switcher, pose for a photo on the hot, hazy, summer day of July 22, 1978.

Stonehaven`s water Carrier is seen on the outskirts of Musselburgh (approx 125 miles from its home station) replenishing its tank from a hydrant while attending a 3 pump and ALP fire at a recycling centre on 07/11/20. This was sent as the nearest water carrier at Larbert is current off the run.
Bought some necklaces at H&M, and then added feathers.
Thanks Joules, I think I used the macro setting.
A CP/D&H local heads south out of Saratoga Springs about 20 minutes behind Amtrak 68. Napierville Junction caboose #40 trails four cars on this short local.

This weeks Saturday Night Special is some D&H Alco goodness. Photo by Michael A. Tedesco at Bison Yard in Sloan, NY on 11/16/1976. I missed out on catching the D&H C628's. By the time I got my drivers license in 1977 the C628's had fallen out of favor on the D&H and were either stored or used as trailing units. I caught a few as trailing units on trains and got a few parked at Colonie Shops and at Oneonta. I did actually catch one train with 3 C628's leading in 1977, but the only film I could get for the camera at the time was a roll of Ektachrome 160, so the images look pretty weird as far as the color is concerned.
One of the many brightly coloured houses in Portsmouth.
The hydrangeas in Portsmouth seem to be colour coordinated with the houses. Generally, against the blue and grey houses, the hydrangeas are blue but here they are a more appropriate white.
Had a little jump forward in time tonight. Got the dress at the weekend along with another one that sadly is too small so that dress might become a skirt .
D&H 2306 & 7409 are waiting in the pre dawn gloom to be put on the rear end of the GV1 salt train at Hornell, NY on 5/14/1978. At Hornell the salt train would spit up the power so that there were units at both ends of the train for the reverse move required at Attica, NY.
