Normally confined to school workings only, Nu-Venture WVL272 LX06 ECF is seen on Allington Way, Allington whilst performing a single journey on route 79A. Thursday 23rd September 2021.
WVL272 used to be a regular on route 66 (Kingswood to Cornwallis) until summer 2021 when it moved to route 555 (Larkfield to Maidstone Boys Grammar School via Kings Hill).

Bnsf 719 drags a freight through a slow order at 20mph. Nothing seems to move fast these days anywhere on the Bnsf.
Model of one of the largest crawler draglines in the world in scale 1:28.5.
All functions motorized using three SBricks and Power Functions motors:
- Hoist gear: 1 XL motor
- Drag gear: 1 XL motor
- Swing drive: 2 L motors
- Boom hoist: 1 M motor
- Left crawler track: 1 XL motor
- Right crawler track: 1 XL motor
- Two access ladders: 2 9V micro motors
Power is provided by each a Power Functions rechargeable battery box in the lower carriage and in the upper structure.
Besides the motorized functions, there are four floodlights and another four interior lights, using four pairs of Power Functions LEDs.
Access to the machinery house for the service personnel is given by two doors on each side. The operator's cab is accessible through another door.
Five removable panels, one on each side, one on the back and two on the roof give access to the hoist and drag motors, the boom luffing winch and the two swing motors respectively.
The real dragline was in service in Australia in the Rix's Creek Mine in the Hunter Valley.
On the return trip from spending Memorial Day weekend at Horseshoe Curve, we got to Hornell, NY as this Eastbound D&H train arrived for a crew change on May 29, 1978. We went down into the Canisteo Valley and I got a nice broadside of this consist, but I regretfully traded that slide to someone, so this backlit slide will have to do. I believe this was also the only time I caught the 7420 in RDG green colors.

H-13G Sioux Helicopter Used during the Korean war for medical evacuations to the Mobile army Surgical Hospitals (MASH). Was disappointed that they didn't have a Radar O'Reilly manakin. MHO is that Med evac chopper jockeys were never paid enough. These items and 19 more are available for viewing at the Harold F. Pitcairn Wings of Freedom Aviation Museum.

Trains were once run by dedicated individuals not the PTC computer. Railroading was a way of life. You didn't work for the railroad you went "railroading".
D&H 7414 in Reading green leads a Westbound D&H freight that is stopped at Hornell, NY in the wee hours of the morning on June 25, 1978. We would sleep in our vehicles at the crew change and wake up whenever a train rolled in to change crews. I would usually pass on getting out and taking night shots of the CR stuff, but almost always would get out to get the D&H trains.

D&H 7315 sits along the shops at Oneonta, NY on August 12, 1978. The 7315 is an old friend, and I knew it as LV 315 when it was running through my hometown of Rush, NY. But that all came to an end on April 1, 1976, but at least I could still catch the ex LV GP38-2's and C-420's on the D&H in LV colors for a little while.
An empty ballast train heads west through Ludlow. This train had dumped its ballast load at the Truxton flyover project. Thanks to Rick Knutson for the information.
