Avanguardie Urbane Roma Street Art Festival 2014, progetto ideato e promosso dalle associazioni 999Contemporary e Roam e curato da Stefano S. Antonelli, porterà a Roma, da marzo a luglio, oltre 30 tra i migliori street artist internazionali e italiani e promuoverà Roma a capitale europea della street art. Gli interventi degli artisti sul contesto urbano riqualificheranno alcuni quartieri e diversi centri nodali e storici della vita cittadina.
Il Festival culminerà con due grandi eventi realizzati in collaborazione con Roma Capitale e Macro - Museo d'Arte Contemporanea di Roma: una conferenza internazionale sul futuro panorama visivo delle città, presso la sede museale di via Nizza, e una grande mostra ad ingresso libero al Macro Future di Testaccio, che da giugno ad agosto vedrà protagonisti i più importanti artisti francesi e italiani in un percorso comparato tra i linguaggi della street art di nuova generazione.

Guy Denning, inglese, si forma in quella scena artistica di Bristol che partorirà Banksy e i Massive Attack. E’ uno dei più importanti e significativi pittori urbani britannici, insieme a Conor Harrington e Antony Micaleff, capaci di fondere con grande semplicità tradizione e innovazione. Per Avanguardie realizza in via Silvio D’amico un’opera dal titolo "Di, di se questo è vero" ispirata al XXXI canto dell’Inferno di Dante in cui Beatrice interroga Dante, lo accusa e lui non risponde. Il lavoro di Guy Denning sull’opera di Dante nasce nel 2010 con la mostra “Purgatorio” alla Brooklynite gallery di New York e prosegue con la mostra “Inferno” a Bologna. L’opera donata alla città di Roma è parte di questo ciclo e rappresenta una delle visioni più contestuali, sublimi e aggiornate dello straordinario poema Dantesco alimentando in questa dimensione urbana e pubblica il fuoco della sua eterna contemporaneità.

Oh & I haven't mentioned this cause I keep forgetting so I'll mention it now.
You guys have to listen to Crystal Castles new album! It's pure gold! If you guys haven't heard of them, you guys should google them or something. It's one of those bands that you don't even have to know the lyrics to enjoy, aha.

1. On the first day of first grade I was so frightened by the new enviroment that I snuck out of class and ran out of the school. The assistant principle & some teachers were chasing me until I reached this big street that I was scared to cross.
2. I gargle soda before I swallow it. Mainly with Coca-Cola & Pepsi. It just tastes so much better when I gargle and rinse it first.
3.My mom jokes around that it was my fault she stopped going to church when I was around five because when she would take me, I would run up to the front of the church & sit on the steps by the priest and when everyone was quiet I would start singing the Nightmare on Elm Street song.
4. I completely shaved my right eyebrow off last december out of curiousity . I wore animal band aids and drew a fake eyebrow with black sharpie for about a month.
5. I'm a huge little monster. I love that woman so much. Even though I went to the monsterball all alone, that didn't stop me from having one of the best nights of my life.
6. I've been bitched out by a group of angry drag queens.
7. I need a tripod. The lack of one can get deadly.
8. I don't have a best friend.
9. My favorite name is Bruno. I might legally change my name to that.
10. I'm Horde.
