Now that it's no longer nighttime I finally have a slightly more decent picture! Taking photos of yourself holding an uber sexual half-horse unicorn lady painting = dreams unlocked.
I was out at a pub night when I heard William Self mention he'd never been to the Guild Inn grounds before. I mentioned its especially nice in the winter after a good snow. I dug out some shots from when I visited in February 2009, like this 4-frame stitched image of the amphitheater. I took this as the sun was starting to set before we went to warm up in front of the fire at the Stone Cottage pub.
Still working on this, which should theoretically be the most simple thing, but not for me. Approaching acceptability .2 mm at a time, a dozen file strokes here and there.
Preston Guild 2012 - Big top tents in Avenham Park. Monday 03 September 2012.
For the 2012 Preston Guild most main events took place on Avenham and Miller Parks. Avenham Park was used for various concerts and featured two a big top tents and a main stage. Miller Park featured the Preston Tringe which was similar to the Edinburgh Fringe / Festival. It was utter rubbish in particular the exhibition tent and apart from the young arty types many people were very disappointed with the events held in Miller Park.
A very good and popular food fair was held on Winckley Square Park and Chapel Street over first weekend of September and really this should have carried on for all the ten days of the main Guild celebrations.
Like many people I was very disappointed that for this Guild the large (Home & Beauty) exhibition on Moor Park did not take place. To be honest the only thing that prevented the Guild celebrations from being a total disaster were the processions which were magnificent.

It seems I love being addicted to games, now GW2 is in my roster. I guess it's time to stop starting new games. I already have too much. ;)
This is my toon, level 12. He is a mesmer. And I find it at least "happy" having his clones becoming a pack of butterflies and they shatter.
Ps. His "armor" colours are the same as the templars of TSW (it's on purpose :P)
The Saber Guild. I never did manage to get any good shots of their demonstrations. They had people in various Jedi costumes doing mock lightsaber battles and other feats of skill. Sort of like Tall Flags and fencing with lightsabers.

This wrought-iron contraption fixed to the wall probably was used to hang a guild/trade sign from, they can still be seen all over Vienna on houses dating from 1900 and older. This one is in my street.
