A special service to mark the work of the Livery Companies in the City of London has been held at St Paul's.
The 72nd Service of the United Guilds of the City of London saw representatives of Livery Companies pack the Cathedral for the service on Friday 4 April.
Opening the service, The Very Reverend David Ison, Dean of St Paul's, said: "We give thanks to God for the fellowship and service of the Livery Companies: for the customs which carry the memory of times past into the future with confidence and hope; for the skills and talents which they represent and promote in each generation; and for the generosity of their charitable work which provides opportunities for others to share the many blessings that we enjoy.

This store opened in 2020; it was previously a Maidenform, which closed in 2017.
The bridge allows adjustment of the saddles in 4 directions and works perfectly. Everything is original down to the coil tap switches, the G-branded knobs and the slanted stop-tailpiece.
Most S-300s had DiMarzio humbuckers fitted (the S-300D) but this one has Guild's own brand, metal covered pickups. The same pickups that were supplied for use by Veleno in their all-aluminium guitars from the same era.

The Yu Wang Temple inside the Huguang Guild Hall. It honors Da Yu (Yu the Great), an ancient ruler who came up with a system of flood controls.
During the early Qing-Dynasty, the people living in the Hu and Guang areas were ordered to move to Chongqing to cultivate the land. The guild hall was built to help the new immigrants : a community headquarters.

April 22, 2022 - 16th Century Masons' Guild Hall located at Sint-Niklaasstraat 2, 9000 Gent, Belgium. I am not sure when the modern glass addition was added to the building. "The Masons’ Guild House was built in a flamboyant Gothic style opposite the Sint- Niklaaskerk to show off the stone carving skills of the city’s masons. It eventually disappeared behind a later building. People thought it had been demolished and so in 1913 a replica was constructed at Graslei 8. The original was later found during building work and six modern dancing figures were added at the top." It seemed only fitting for my return to photography many months after a lesson in the importance of backing up (more about that later) that this be my very first photo to be loaded, scrutinized and yes, cherished. As it reinforces that passion for the love of the craft, the journey in chasing the light and sharing with those that have a love for the image of the heart long before we press the shutter.
