More hiking through the jungle in Punta Laguna. The figure in front is our Mayan guide. He was quiet (we all were, so as not to disturb any wildlife) and spoke Mayan - not Spanish.
“You look excited to get onboard” the guide smiled as I stood at the head of the line with 81 other happy tourists. I was like a kid in a candy shop! I laughed, I cried, I danced with the waves & the music, and I took nearly 1000 photos in 2 hours. These are my favourite 99 from both my iPhone and telephoto SLR shot at a high ISO to compensate for boat movement & long lens.
That’s 12,000 year old ice, folks! Sooooo happy I treated myself to time on the water. And thrilled I had my full winter gear. At times, I was the only one at the front of the boat.
