Soldiers from the 3d U.S. Infantry Regiment (The Old Guard) contribute to a Joint Armed Forces Unit of Pentagon Tour Guides that train to take the estimated 100,000 people that visit the Pentagon on tours every year. Spc. Christopher Molitoris has been a Tour Guide for a year and a half, and conducted an estimated 1,500 combined Public and VIP Tours. He conducted this Tour on March 3, 2016. These guys took us through the desert to our camps. They were great fun but took their jobs very seriously.

Another highlight of our most recent stay in Paris was a guided walking tour of the "Two Islands" led by our "brilliant" tour guide, Brigitte, of the Paris Walks Company. This walk meets every Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 at the convenient Pont Marie Metro Station. The brochure describes it as follows:
"This tour shows the essence of Paris. The history of Ile de la Cite, with the story of Notre Dame, its sculptures and superb Gothic architecture. The quiet charm of the aristocratic Ile St. Louis with its stately classical townhouses, a favorite with many writers and artists including Hemingway and the Lost Generation. You could finish with a delicious Bertillon ice cream."
For the next two hours, Brigitte led us down streets, into churches, through gates, doors and alleys and into numerous places we never would have found on our own, keeping up an extremely informed and entertaining commentary the entire way. We would highly recommend any of these walks and plan to take as many as we can on future visits to Paris.

Using a guiding line to make the attendants work easier. Not a true highline, the guiding line simply floats the load just above the wall or slope, and the control is via a standard two rope system.
