Somehow I completely forgot about this shot and never posted it. This was taken on my trip up to my family cabin in Idaho back in June, there's a nice ranch just outside Stanley with a cool bridge entrance. I tried to capture the bridge and gate over the Salmon River, it was a funny angle and it didn't turn out so well. Plus there were constant cars with their headlights illuminating the hill in the background which was driving me nuts, I think that's why I kind of forgot about this one.
On top of the gate is a sign that reads "Guests Only" which got me pondering (oh boy, here we go!), aren't we all just guests in this vast galaxy and universe? Our time is fleeting, we are finite, just merely visiting this small speck of dirt flying through the solar system.
This is 6 shots total, 3 wide for the sky and 3 wide for the foreground, taken with my Nikon D600 and Rokinon 24mm f1.4 lens on an iOptron Skytracker mount. All shots were 2 minutes at ISO 800 and f2.8, stitched in PTGui and edited in Photoshop and Lightroom.
Amber found this place a few weeks ago, so when we went out for pictures she had to bring me here. It was eerie being in a place so deserted. We weren't sure what to expect as we carefully crawled through each room. If this place still stands this summer, I have a great shoot in mind.

There were many uninvited guests during the entire cruise. Seagulls were flying on the ship constantly which kept the Carnival staff very busy cleaning up after them.

Visitors for the Spring Gala 53808 and 8572 meet at Bridgnorth. This could have been a scene featuring two LNER locomotives in that companies' livery, however B1 1264 was pulled from the gala the week before and the 7F was brought in as a late replacement.

Luckily, the inside hadn't changed: never mind that this photo was taken in July, before the repainting, haha. On that matter, I've got over 100 pics in my vault from this place, including ones I recently took that I desperately want to share... but I'm forcing myself to stick with the 30 I chose before I took those, because if I keep uploading the new pics I'll never get to these ones!
Anyway: this is the Guest Services area, accessible from the entry vestibule. Since this store does not have a pharmacy, this is Horn Lake's only example of the wavy neon squiggling into legibility.
