The largest structure on the administrative site is the guard station building. It even has a basement. It’s ready to go as a working guard station when the forest service needs it. Sometimes it has a volunteer acting as a caretaker. But we never saw anybody during our five day visit.

The Masked Lapwing is sometimes referred to as the Spur-winged Plover because each of its wings is armed with a yellow spur at the ‘elbow’ (or carpal joint)... Lapwings use these spurs when diving at potential predators or intruders during breeding season, while chicks are running around or when the eggs are just about to hatch. While these attacks are quite unnerving, the birds seldom actually strike their ‘victims’, preferring a close approach to scare them away.
I took this photo in my back yard. They felt safe to pose for me until they heard a loud noise out on the street and then they headed back into the woods!
As the tea salon came to a close and Knyaginya Dashkova retired to her private apartments to inspect her son's history lesson, "Count Shurshin" revealed himself to be some sort of rebel, now threatening the safety of both court and the Empress personally, shouting nonsense about Polish invasion, all whilst taking as many refreshments as possible!
Vitze-Kantzler was quick to call in guards, and the young Alexandra von Engelhardt under Grenadiers' protection was swiftly escorted out of the salon. The intruder was arrested and will await strict "investigation" soon.

Life Guards (deutsch Leibgarde) ist der Name des ältesten englischen Gardekavallerieregiments, das heute als Teil der britischen Armee, außerdem stellt das Regiment die berittene Wache vor Horse Guards.
Der Platz ist nach Westen hin offen, dort grenzt der St. James’s Park an. Die anderen drei Seiten werden von Gebäuden begrenzt.

The Royal Regiment of Horse Guards was a cavalry regiment of the British Army, part of the Household Cavalry.
The parade ground is open on the west side, where it faces Horse Guards Road and St. James's Park. It is flanked on the north by the Old Admiralty and the Admiralty Citadel, on the east by William Kent's Horse Guards – formerly the headquarters of the British Army.

This sweet, old dog was in an art gallery in Aspen. He didn't even move when we walked in. A guard dog he obviously isn't.
In the Kaleem Zam'qnar lands the Guards more and more often encountered 2 or 3 man Blood Orcs scouting groups. Usually they eliminated them quickly. However their appearance caused anxiety. The orcs have not been seen here for over 100 years. At the Watchtower on far, far east of the Kaleem Zam'qnar lands we can see a drama. The group of redskins is much bigger than the previous ones. And the Guardian is all alone there...

Mechanical guards belonging to Val LTD. that are nicknamed "Hunters". The main foot soldiers of Val, the Drones are autonomous but can be remotely controlled and given orders. Val supplies the US with their drones and they assist in the Slaughterhouse Project.

It's not by chance that the Meerkats are right near the entry to the open plains Western Plains Zoo at Dubbo in Central West New South Wales. They are certainly popular and fascinating to watch but an ongoing campaign by "Compare the Market" in Australia and overseas using them in comical sketches for advertising has lifted their profile immensely. As in their natural environment, there is always someone on duty watching for danger and ready to call out for a scramble to safety. I understand that this duty is rotated, how smart! They have a wonderful tree stump on which to climb above their enclosure and watch for threats.
