Soon after arriving at Sepilok, we headed to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. On the way to the outdoor feeding platform, we passed what the warden described as a "grumpy" orangutan. he urged everybody to keep walking, and as we paused at what we thought would be a far enough distance from them to grab a few photos, he seemed a little agitated and the mother ape somewhat menacing. Sorry about that.

Zorro looks a bit stroppy here, but actually he was very stroppy, this picture just caught him momentarily on the ground in the middle of a brief bucking session.
Fortunately he doesn't really buck to throw me off, just to let me know he's very angry.
I woke up feeling a little grumpy this morning despite finding this fantabulous Erratic Joggers and Tank top in Earle grey, featured at this month's Dubai event. They were a bit on the pricey side but looked amazing so had to get them.
Grumpy was my favourite Care Bear when I was little (what a surprise). And if you look closely you can see the tuff of hair on its head, or lack of hair; because I used to chew/suck the hair until there was nothing left. A little bit gross.
OK so maybe not so grumpy! These guys will have you rolling on the ground in just a few minutes! And yes they always dress like this. Must be the old Texas way.

I like Greg Brown ,a folk singer from Iowa, and one of his songs is " I don't want to have a nice day" so after doing this one, I looked at it I thought of the song. His face says it all.
Week 3 of 52
This week I have not been able to do anything inspiring photography wise. Unlike most pet owners who get loads of photos of their beautiful pets, Geezer has a tendancy to either get grumpy about it or lick the lens. I spent several evenings this week convincing him to relent and this was the best I got.
You can tell that getting banded will sour the mood of most any baby falcon. Three grumpy falcons can't be wrong!
He didn't seem to thrilled about me taking pictures of him, but at least he came out of his shell and posed for me! He eventually decided that he had enough of me when ran away from me as fast as he could. He moved pretty fast for a tortoise! Poor fella!
The grumpy guy is a Gopher Tortoise (Gopherus polyphemus), a species threatened by habitat destruction and predation . Gopher Tortoises are often viewed as a keystone species, as they provide homes for 360 other animal species with their burrows.
