It was just one of those days. You know, the kind of day when you're just grumpy and pissy all day for no good reason and nothing seems to cheer you up. I tried to push past it with some beer and a bit of lighting practice, and it helped a little bit. However, I was not completely satisfied with the overall shoot, because there was a huge strand of cat hair in my hair in every single shot, and it's obvious that I need to get a haircut. I was too annoyed to reshoot, so this photo will have to do as the keeper.
Strobist info: SB-600 at 1/4 power into silver umbrella relatively close to model at camera left, bare Vivitar 285HV at 1/16 power directly behind model shooting at the wall, triggered via Cactus V2 wireless.
....grumpy. Not only was my day at work hell on ice skates, but it took almost 50 shots to get something that was workable. I went from "Girl" to "Green" to "Goofy"... and all that led me here.... to grumpy.
At least it starts with G, right?
Soon after arriving at Sepilok, we headed to the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre. On the way to the outdoor feeding platform, we passed what the warden described as a "grumpy" orangutan. he urged everybody to keep walking, and as we paused at what we thought would be a far enough distance from them to grab a few photos, he seemed a little agitated and the mother ape somewhat menacing. Sorry about that.
This is my sisters grumpy cat. Highly cute when hungry and psycho when full. Possibly bipolar. This is when you hold the food.

A desert bird who should not even be here, much less stuck in 42 degree F rain. And you can just tell he is not pleased. One more below.
