We were in Washington Square in NYC and there was a part of the park where lots of people sit and play chess. There was ALSO a film crew making a film at another table and I don't think these men were too happy about the interruption to their day........

I'm pretty sure Screech Owls are always grumpy, they definitely look it!

At Grumpy's Bar on Washington. Today where was a fun day. Will finally used his Brownie Hawkeye Flash and I took out my Holga and Polaroid 195. I learned that it was too cold to use the latter outdoors.

These are the doors to the front entrance. The glow in the foreground is the table I was using as a tripod.

This Great Blue Heron was a bit grumpy as it stood on some drift wood. Prior to walking on the wood, the heron was constantly scaring other herons out of the area. After about ten minutes the other herons flew off and he stood on at this very spot for over an hour.... pruning.

Grumpy chimp at Colchester Zoo

I can relate.

Garren took this picture at our annual presentation to the Boise School District joint high school ecology classes a year or so ago. "Grumpy" is a banded Gila monster (Heloderma suspectum cinctum) a native of Arizona. He's one of of two species of venomous lizards in the world. In this picture I'm showing the location of "Grumpy's venom glands. "Grumpy" and I will be back at the ecology classes in a couple of weeks. Garren, truly and sadly, will be missed.
