It's not photographed in the best light. Mom snatched it up and framed it before I could shoot in natural light.
I want to say it's about 20x30

PERSONAL FUN FACT: Besides Happy, Grumpy is probably my favorite dwarf doll in my collection. Likewise, I always make sure he has ideal real estate on my display. Usually Happy is on one outer corner of the shelf, and Grumpy is one the opposite side (this way I can see them from anywhere in my room just about). Of course, in terms of the film, Grumpy is hard to beat. I mean who wouldn't appreciate his character development throughout the film. I thought he was so funny as a kid--the way he'd sneer and scoff at Snow White, pretending not to care about her. This Grumpy's face is perfectly sculpted to capture his skeptical sneer of discontentment. He has very defined jowls for this reason--frowning all the time will do that! I remember how much I enjoyed the way his face turned bright red when Snow White kissed him goodbye on his way to work. I watched the movie a billion times as a kid. It was one of my favorite go-to Disney flicks to put on. I never realized that it really was one of my favorites, until I was an adult (that's because Aladdin dominated my childhood so much). Anyways, I got Mr. Grumpy with all of the other dwarfs. They were from eBay in a used lot in 2011. They had been owned by a collector before me, so they were all in great condition, albeit a little dusty and grimy. Over the years they've gotten many baths. I admit that I really enjoy grooming their nylon bears...Grumpy is always especially hilarious to do this to (since he looks so very unhappy about it).
Unhappy husband poses in sweater in August.
Pattern: Reynold's Men's Book, a vintage purchase from ebay. It's been actually kind of hard to find one that was perfect-mr.rogers, but this one worked out very well.
Yarn: New Zealand cone from ebay seller "foiled48". On the scratchy side, but beautiful colors and extremely inexpensive.
When I saw this face my first thought was "Mr Fredricksen!"
I can't find a single photo to support that, so maybe I was thinking of somebody else. Anybody got any ideas who this might be??
