Looking a little grumpy hanging around and waiting for Christmas to be over...Wait, it's Christmas 365 here.
We have ourselves a bag of angry squirrels. That’s what my Cousin Kurt says from a safe distance. My feelings and week were summed up in that simple line. It was a bag of angry squirrels. One of my relatives, the one we weren’t looking at, needed help. A ruckus ensued until a plan was put in place and a firmer one is still in the works. My own resolution of a calmer more peaceful existence went to hell in a hand basket - as the saying goes. Thank heaven for lattes from Café Grumpy to bolster the spirits.
Have a wonderful Monday!
Another boring self-portrait. This was the first shot of a series of approx. 400, taken with an Olympus OM 50mm f/1.8 at maximum aperture. It was way too dark and I didn't "hit" the focus zone, but I liked my grumpy facial expression. :)
So I decided to "save" this picture using my favourite quick processing tool: snapseed...
Photo copyright on this one goes to one Patrick Wilde (aged 13 at time of capture), as it was he who took this revealing portrait. Don't know who the grumpy old so-and-so is. He definitely needs to lighten up though...
Denton, Crown Point North Retail Park (oh joy of joy), 02/06/2012
While standing on a bridge attempting to photograph some birds, this guy approached on his bicycle. The grumpy look on his face suggested he wasn't thrilled to see a 'farang' in his territory.
Here's a closeup of the top predator in our earth ponds! Snapping turtles will be coming out of hibernation in about two months when water temperatures get closer to 50 degrees.

O is a child of extremes. Her moods can change with a gust of wind.
This is the O we see when she's cross. Hands on hips, frown on face and lots of shouting.
Rumbles had his 6 month birthday only a few days ago. He destroyed our bin, a tree, some of our grass, dug a hole, run around like an idiot for a while, got humped by a staffy on our walk and then slept for 16 hours.... all in all I think he had a blast.
Day 157: I didn't start out as a grump today. I had a very nice breakfast at my favorite breakfast place (they know me there, I love it), went for a nice drive, intending to get to a local park and take some pictures. My memory isn't so great about where this park is, though, so I didn't find it, thus no nice outdoor photos for me. The pollen count is outrageous here and my allergies have been kicking my ass all day. My knees were feeling great when I woke up, but now they hurt again :( I've been trying to write a statement of purpose for my SAIC application...ever try to write one of those things? Terribly frustrating....I'm tired and should be in bed...is there anything else you'd like me to complain about? lol
Christi Friesen-Inspired Baby Turtle. I think this guy's a little bit of a grump. Or at least I made grumpy faces at him while I carved his mouth!
This view shows you clearly the main problem with my baby turtle -- there's not actually room for the rest of his little turtle body in the egg that he's supposed to be emerging from. Oops.
Wonder if that's why he's so grumpy? :-)
Not all moments are smiles and laughter ;-)
This is the "I want out on the intertube behind the boat" look. Fortunately I am trained to handle this death ray as a parent. Novices could easily fold under such a barrage.
This look was achieved thru a 50% glow + gradient map + 100% sepia + increased contrast.
Love the leafy fabric... I feel like he's a little commando bunny friend maybe. This one's available at my etsy now - pocketcarnival.etsy.com/ - but I think I might make myself one.

made at Teen Think Tank5. So cute! Very easy to do, although a lot of prep work needed to cut up all the pieces.
Loving a bit of beret/braces/corduroy trouser action from this grumpy old sod in Florianópolis, Santa Catarina, Brazil.
