So I thought it’d be a good idea to sit all the clones down for a “family” portrait. Well, you know how these things go, the kids clones not cooperating ‘n all that. Not to mention, First Attempt kept trying to sneak in on the portrait action, but none of us wanted him there (‘cuz he’s weird…just something not right in the head). My apologies, this is the best shot I could get from this shoot. Things suddenly got real messy. A lot of cleaning up & digging. Just another typical day in a life w/ clones.

The shoot that had me worrying and stressing. It was a challenge to say the least. Firstly the location I'd picked out ended up covered in parked cars! So I had to quickly find a new spot, and the contrast between bright sunlight and shade I was shooting in, with fill-in flash was a nightmare, so I'm pretty unhappy with the backgrounds. Oh well, I've learnt a lot from this session, and next time would spend more time and take twice as many photos. Most of these have had 2-3 faces or eyes cloned from other shots, so quite time intensive.
And thanks to Seng who took my call and explained how to get my background properly exposed while using flash. What a life-saver he turned out to be!
Hello, this is my first day on the 365 project. For those who doesn’t know what a 365 project is, I can describe it briefly as a project where you have to take a photo a day for a year. First, I found about this kind of project from my good friend Mihai, who also started his project today. I find it as a good opportunity to learn and become better as a photographer. I am sure that the project will be a challenge since I am aware that there will be many days during the following year that will lack of inspiration. Regarding the technical stuff for those who are interested, I use 3 cameras. One is a Canon 7D, the second is a Nex-5 and the third one is the one from my phone – HTC One S. Yes, the camera that you use is important but I can say that I fully agree with what Chase Jarvis said: “The best camera is the one you have with you”.
Since this is my first day, I thought to make it about my friends, my family and me. So with this occasion, my first photo on this project will be about us.
