I was hoping to get a sunset here but just misjudged it. Instead, train 210 ducks under a groovy cloud bank at Otaki behind a single DL (brave!).

I'm told that this lovely wooden station, dating from 1911, will be relocated as part of the zillion dollar Roads of National Importance Wellington region motorway program.

(The Steel Roads of National Unimportance program will be holding a bake sale to raise funds for more Chinese rolling stock outside the Wellington railway station tomorrow). Thanks to EB, formerly of Foamer Central, for doing all the rowing today. Nov 16, 2015

I usually like my guys to wear the complete outfits as originally intended, but sometimes it’s fun to mix it up, especially with the 1971 ‘Action Wear’ Paks. This groovy printed shirt with a REALLY deep V neck to show off that muscular chest was a variation of the ‘Sun Fun’ shirt. I paired it with the super-skimpy orange ‘leather’ shorts from his original outfit and Francie’s belt and bubble glasses from ‘Zig Zag Zoom’. Far out, man!

We have company visiting us from Maryland today, so I made some fun cookies to welcome the kids - and grownups as well!!! I've been inspired by the numerous peace sign cookies that have been posted (thanks for the inspiration Callye and Johnna!!!)

Took a few shots of this guy. This one seemed the funniest. Love his expression here... it's like puzzled defiance - like a rebel without a cause.

a very fun retro inspired cake. i didn't have a theme or anything to work with except that it's for a guy so nothing flowery or sweet. in the end i decided to do the "groovy circles" design but without so many colours and with the circles a bit tighter. i think it worked really well to create a very bold geometric design. and of course blue and chocolate go so well together.
