Smoke Photo Art. Explored 03/05/12
Ever feel there is just not enough weekend to get all (any) of the things done that you were hoping to do?
Subject
How we listen to music keeps changing. Here we see the transition from vinyl records to compact discs. It is shot at almost exactly 1:1 macro for entry into Macro Monday's #Evolution challenge.
Lens
SMC Pentax-DA L 18-55mm F3.5-5.6 AL WR. It's the kit wide-angle zoom. It's on a pair of stacked teleconverters in order to achieve 1:1 macro: a Vivitar 2x and a Sigma 1.4 AF. Both carry the aperture information back to the body.
Because of the stacked teleconverters, the focal-length data is lost. The EXIF entry for focal-length is based on the options set on the camera and does not reflect the adjusted focal-length of the lens. The actual focal length was 154mm.
Lighting
See my comment below for an image of the setup
A single Pentax AF540FGZ strobes is operating as an optical wireless slave. The on-camera flash is operating in controller mode, minimizing its lighting contribution.
The strobe is covered with a punctured metal lid in order to produce a point light.
Just a-kickin' down the cobblestones,
Lookin' for fun and Feelin' Groovy,

It's an old favourite song, but i dont think i'd ever seen this video before today...
Similar to another recent 'sue' shot, but this time with a bit of flypaper texture added.

Another beautiful fungi that I'm afraid I don't know the name of, it looks a bit like a Chanterelle, but I'm not sure, hopefully someone will know what it is.
And can you see the tiny little ones on the bottom left of the pic? I wonder what they are too, any idea?
Fungi is so pretty. :-)
Photographed in a mature pine forest near the beach in Tentsmuir Forest, just north of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland.
It was the 1970s. Grooviness was in. And big hair, tunics, doves, and maxi skirts were de rigueur.
Detail of an illustration from "Tell Me That I Love You," Three Love Poems by Kenneth Patchen, illustrations by Fred Klemushim, Hallmark Books, 1973. The poems were copyrighted in 1942.
"Slow down, you move to fast
You got to make the morning last
Just kicking down the cobblestones
Looking for fun and feeling groovy
Ba da-da da-da da-da, feeling groovy"
