In 1977, Massimo Vignelli designed the Unigrid System for the National Park Service. The module grid system sized at ISO A2 (16.5″ × 23.4″or 420mm × 594mm) allowed the NPS to created brochures in ten basic formats and to keep a consistent, recognizable structure across all it’s materials. Not to mention how economical the system has been for them. The grid features a black bar at the top and bottom with text set in Helvetica in the header bar.
Creativity needs to be tamed. Boundaries will eventually boost your creativity and bring order to a chaotic creative process. This will eventually (and hopefully) happen on a subconscious level without using your rational mind. Which is kinda weird since a grid is the pinnacle of a rational system...

Limited edition of 50 letterpress prints featuring a calendar with the year printed in English, Italian, French and German. The 2010, the days of the week, and the edition number line are all printed blind. Type is set in Helvetica. All prints are numbered and signed.
The calendar size is 16.5" x 23.5" (A2) and printed on Crane Lettra Fluorescent White 110# (300gsm) paper.

Taylor Studios designed and built the engaging exhibits at the Anita Purves Nature Center, for the Urbana Park District in Urbana, Illinois. The design of the nature center is inspired by Anita Purves, the local naturalist whom the center is named for. Taylor Studios transformed the center’s exhibit room into a multi-sensory interactive field station where the visitor becomes the scientist. Rustic themed exhibit furniture and props put the visitor at ease while custom interactives prompt visitors to solve problems concerning the natural world.
Here, visitors explore “discovery drawers" and play the part of the naturalist. Surrounding them on the walls are changeable graphics displayed via a grid system that allows the content to always be fresh and new.
