A patch of bright sunshine through a small break in a wintry sky lights up Cronkley Fell and Scar. Taken from Middle Side two days after a heavy snowfall now thawing out and leaving a patchwork winter landscape.

Corrour, Scotland, UK - September 26, 2017: The "Deerstalker" train, part of the Caledonian Sleeper, is hauled across the vast peat bog wilderness of Rannoch Moor near Corrour in the Highlands of Scotland early in the morning.

Flynas have currently leased 2 A330 aircraft from HiFly to operate the new UK/Malaysian services.

Aircraft was built in 1996 and carried the test reg. F-WWKO. It was delivered to LTU as D-AERQ on 27-2-1996. Later to Air Berlin in February 2008.
HiFly took delivery as CS-TRI on 15-2-2013 and have leased to it to various airlines, including XL Airways France, Atlas Jet and now Flynas.

Haflinger horses enjoying the view. Haflingers are known for their distinctive chestnut coloring and flaxen mane and tail, and originated in the Tyrolean Mountains, which run between Italy and what is Austria, today.

A brief burst of watery sunshine highlights the County Bridge and part of the castle ruins at Barnard Castle, Teesdale. Taken on a blustery day in late March.

I was standing outside feeding the birds and this white faced heron just showed up out of the blue. I ran inside to grab my camera and was lucky enough he/she was still there so I quickly got two photos before he/she took off. Sadly the lighting was the greatest it was cold, wet and overcast today.
