In late February 2019 I visited the Epping Ongar Railway's Green Line Running Day focussed on North Weald Station. A photographer's trip to Toot Hill was enjoyed by many and proved extremely popular. I also took a few shots at Epping Station.
This image was taken from my kayak in a tree limb above me. The heron proved to be a fairly decent poser, possibly curious as to what I was or what I was doing. This one was captured just before it spread its wings and flew off.

week 24: artistic - green
Green as in the color of nature ... I tried to capture nature in its glorious details. The cactus is always a fascinating plant when you look at its details.
The majesty of Vestmannabjørgini (Vestmanna sea cliffs), Streymoy (Faroe Islands).
Known as the Vestmannabjørgini, these majestic sea cliffs rise up to 600 meters above the turquoise hues of the churning sea below roughly halfway between Vestmanna and Saksun, on the north side of Streymoy, Faroe Islands.
The cliffs are characterized by their numerous clefts and green blankets of luxuriant grass and mosses (sheep graze quite undisturbed on the clifftops).
The boats that sail here give an unparalleled view of the cliffs and the birds as they weave in between the numerous sea stacks and in and out the narrow straits bound by sheer rock walls and dark echoing grottoes.
These soaring cliffs provide safe nesting places during the summer months (May-August) for thousands upon thousands of seabirds, above all puffins, guillemots, razorbills and gulls.

Stagecoach had purchased East Midland in April 1989 over a year later on 26-08-90 I spotted this line up at Sutton Rd Mansfield garage, with no vehicles in Stagecoach livery it was a must take now shot.

Delicious home cooked Green Curry Chicken. I can cook too!
No other culture is as food-conscious as that of the Chinese.
The importance of food in Chinese culture and daily life is reflected in greetings.
For instance, instead of asking “How are you?” (ni hao ma 你好吗), it is quite normal to ask “Have you eaten?” (chi fan le me 吃饭了吗).
The logic behind is that people who have just eaten should feel well and happy.

i love how nature always finds a way. i did a version @1.8 but the focus was too slight. but ooooh the bokeh!
Not the best sunset I've seen at this location but it is the first time my daughter (five) and I have been out together with our cameras. I suspect she was avoiding bedtime but she did take some nice snaps on her pink vtech all the same. 2-stop grad (h) and a polariser
