Retira-me do cerco em que me encontro,

para que eu renda graças ao teu nome!

Virão então os justos rodear-me,

por tudo o que fizeste em meu favor.

(Salmo 141 (142)

Bring me out of prison,

that I may give thanks to your name!

The righteous will surround me,

for you will deal bountifully with me.

Green paint dropped into a glass of water. This was my third attempt. My Dad dropped the paint in while I snapped the shot.

This is my first photo to make onto Explore ever! #21! Thanks guys!

A couple months ago on a beautiful sunny day I captured this Violet-green Swallow. This week I saw almost 200 of them gathering on powerlines on the Sumas Prairie. I assume they were heading south.

I've been trying to keep an eye on some of the baby shieldbugs I found in the garden.

I found this adult on a fuchsia plant.

Surprise visitor

Taken through my window

The African Green Pigeon is a small to medium-sized bird that measures around 23-28 cm in length.

It has a distinctive green plumage with a yellowish-green head and neck, and a bright red bill.

The wings and tail are dark brown or black, and the eyes are surrounded by a bright red eye-ring.

The male and female have similar plumage, but the male has a slightly larger bill.

They are found in forests and woodlands across sub-Saharan Africa, and feed on fruits and seeds.

They are known for their soft cooing calls and are often seen in small flocks.

Now spring has clad the grove in green,

And strew'd the lea wi' flowers;

The furrow'd, waving corn is seen

Rejoice in fostering showers:

While ilka thing in nature join

Their sorrows to forego,

O why thus all alone are mine

The weary steps of woe?

A bird we see regularly canoeing on our own lake, but this one was posing nicely along the boardwalk.

Made another shot with the tubes of glitter I found!

I bought them over a year ago to use them in my first 365 but never got around to use them...

A super macro shot of glitter turns out to look pretty cool :)

Several photos taken on this successful day when I saw my first green hairstreaks of the year and got many photos.

This was my favourite photo. It does look very fresh to me.

A green grasshopper, posing for me.

Saw my first Green Hairstreak yesterday and here it is, perched aloft some freshy young Hawthorn leaves. Both butterfly and plant pristine in their youthfulness!

Like the truer sense of scale in this image, for me its a change from getting close in and wanting maximum details.

Also, the bee was a bonus - all carefully planned I can assure you! :)
