Taken on my recent trip to Poland . We went walking in a wonderful forest one day. It was so lush, green and peaceful, I could have stayed there forever !

A delightful 1970s Noritake creamer. This pattern, Green Tea, was manufactured as part of Noritake's Primastone Line from 1973 to 1978 only.
A scarce bamboo page (Philaethria dido) rests for a moment on a leaf. I wanted to get this in a portrait layout, but after three previous attempts resulted in this particular butterfly flying off while rotating my camera, I felt it best to limit my movement and made do with landscape.
I took this for a post about the colours purple and green on my blog.
I'm not really superstitious. But. I took this picture last night when suddenly, my camera went black. After turning it off and on several times, it finally seemed to work properly again, but I decided to just take out the card, download the pics on my computer and leave the camera alone for the rest of the day.
Blogger seems to have had some major problems as well yesterday. I couldn't access it at all all day. When I got back home after work, it was working again, but when I opened the draft of my post on purple and green I had been working on during the week, it was all gone apart form the inital two pictures I'd uploaded. I was so frustrated. But then I decided to just turn off the computer and hope that the next day, everything would be back to normal. And it was. I haven't turned on my camera yet, but I really hope that there won't be any problems with it either.
Unfortunately, I didn't pay entough attention to white balance (which I really find the most difficult thing in photography), and as a result, the purple turned out rather bluish instead of the reddish tinge it acutally has, and looks rather strange. I love that mug. It's at least 30 years old.

Green jays are one of the more colorful North American birds I've seen. It was difficult to get any action shots of them so the ones I am posting only hint at the beauty of their plumage.
Up and About
A Green Sea Turtle (Chelonia mydas) was rescued after it had inadvertently got caught by a fisherman's hook. The fisherman, now educated with pawikan conservation, immediately turned it over to the Amihan sa Dahican who performed an operation to remove the hook still stuck in the pawikan's throat. It is now recovering and will be released in a few days.
This is the third specie of Pawikan that I've documented in Dahican Beach in the City of Mati, Davao Oriental. The other were the Olive Ridley and Hawksbill Turtle.
No green leaves, or green grass yet so Leah thought she would trump mother nature and wear some green. This is a swing coat i made from a vintage skipper pattern. The scarf needs a little help in the pic, but it turned out ok. Will be cute over her Easter dress. I love these eyes!
