Good to see so many different species of Monkeys, but must admit to having trouble identifying them.

This Green Heron wasn't the slightest bit bothered by walkers, joggers and cyclists using a path only a few feet away from where it was busy hunting for tasty treats along the edge of one of the lakes at Regional Lakes Park, Fort Myers.

While walking around the lake, I saw this green heron (Butorides virescens) near the lake. To take the photo I had to hide behind a tree.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and I have a new lens ! It is a rather cheap 55mm F1.4 and so far I hate it !! I must admit all the technical stuff in photography is pure « magic » for me. I don’t think about technicalities when I take my pictures. And all my settings (I’m almost always on manual mode) are very intuitive… But I decided to give this lens a try and take more pictures with it. So we will see…

Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and that is awesome ! I honestly have enough of white and I’m very eager to see some greenery outside !
But it is a little bit too soon for a green landscape here. We have few more weeks ( or months ??) left until we can see some grass…

A Green Heron Flyby at Commonwealth Lake! There were two Green Heron parents actively fishing as they were busy feeding 5 Green Heron Chicks.
This green heron had caught this fish moments earlier, and was doing the final reposition alignment.

Hello my amazing Flickr friends !
Today is a green day at Color my World Daily and it is a perfect occasion for showing you my green dice picture. This dice looks very ordinary but don’t be fooled ! This is a very special dice… at least for me. My Dad gave me this dice few years ago. He brought it from Poland, when my grandmother passed away. As long as I can remember, this dice was in my grandparents house. My grandmother kept it in her "treasures" drawer... I always played with it as a child and so did my Dad. So this dice must be at least 65 years old. I don’t know where does it came from … and I don’t think it has any monetary value. But the memories it brings are priceless… It is like a door to another era.
