From my trekking, the shades of greenery captured my imagination.

A candid street shot from Chester, UK (January 2024).

I thought about cropping this from the left to remove the passers-by but decided in the end to just leave it as is.

This shot was taken on a country road not far from Stellenbosch...

Come and join us with your wall photos on a Wednesday!

Spring has barely begun, and I am already thinking of the declining abundance of greenery ...

Un petit coin de "nature" préservé au milieu des champs et prairies façonné par l'homme. C'est agréable et ça apporte du calme !

The Sint-Gustaafsmolen is a windmill remnant in the town of De Moeren, which is part of the West Flemish municipality of Veurne .

This round stone mill of the ground sailor type functioned as a polder mill .

Mills were placed on the sluices between the polder and the outlet pool.

These mills were able to pump water upwards and thereby pump water from the polder into the outlet pools, regardless of the rivers' water level.

The mill was built between 1814 and 1820 and was given the name: De Leie .

The mill knocked out the water from De Moeren with the aid of a mortar.

The mill was still operational during the First World War, after which it was neglected.

In 1923 he lost one rod, and in 1927 the other rod, along with the hood, also blew off.

The mill was then dismantled and a pointed hood was placed on it.

The mill shaft was reused in 1935 in the new Lindemolen in Alveringem .

In 1985 the mill came into the possession of Willem Vermandere who had the hull restored and established a sculpture workshop in it.

Hope you like.

Have a lovely day and thank you, as always, M, (*_*)

The day we visited the atmosphere was so beautiful and misty that we didn't feel like going to our next destination, Sittong ☺️

I have five more exams and fifteen more days until I will leave college for good.
