I just happened to look down and see this one, Sea Foam Green leaf sitting on a pile of brown leaves and then a shaft of light hit the leaf. A minute later, if that, the light was gone.

Fleeting scenes.

Shot using a Canon EF 50mm f2.5 Compact-Macro lens.

This was another photo stack using 8 images and done internally using the camera's Focus Bracketing program to do the composite.

Morelia viridis

Despite the name, this youngster is clearly yellow - neonate and juvenile Green pythons exhibit a range of colours though yellow is the only form displayed in the Australian population of this species as far as I know. Minutes after photographing an adult in ambush mode, finding this guy was somewhat of a joke - almost too good to be true!!

I took this photo on Australia Day this year during a bush walk to Greenes Falls, which is north west of Brisbane.

Costa Rica - Manuel Antonio National Park - Green Heron (Butorides virescens) move slowly seeking for food in the water.

Admittedly not taken in Manitoba. This one is from Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic.

This beautiful Green Heron was foraging around one of the small ponds on the resort property where we were staying.

All constructive comments are appreciated. TIA

At its peak, 65 saloons lined Main Street, which was a mile long (it crossed Green Street). Murders, shootouts, barroom brawls, and stagecoach holdups were regular occurrences. As with other remote mining towns, Bodie had a popular, though clandestine, red light district on the north end of town. In 1876, the Standard Company discovered a profitable deposit of gold-bearing ore, which transformed Bodie from an isolated mining camp comprising a few prospectors and company employees to a Wild West boomtown. Rich discoveries in the adjacent Bodie Mine during 1878 attracted even more hopeful people. By 1879, Bodie had a population of approximately 7,000–10,000 people and around 2,000 buildings. Over the years 1860–1941 Bodie's mines produced gold and silver valued at an estimated US$34 million (those 1886 dollars are worth$1,141,763,404.26 in 2024!)

she's drinking her green smoothie out of an upcycled tea glass :) We often save our glass bottles to use for other things. It really saves on the amount of trash going out. We aren't able to have recycling pickup so this is easier than me lugging our recyclables to the nearest facility.

Green Park (officially The Green Park) is one of the Royal Parks of London.

Walking through here was just beautiful.....

Covering 19 hectares (47 acres), it lies between London's Hyde Park and St. James's Park. Together with Kensington Gardens and the gardens of Buckingham Palace, these parks form an almost unbroken stretch of open land reaching from Whitehall and Victoria station to Kensington and Notting Hill.

I stopped on Loop Road in Big Cypress National Preserve to see what everyone was looking at on the side of the road. Of course, they were all looking at the alligators, a typical Florida attraction, but I found this jewel, this Green Heron among the gators. This is my attraction.
