No, this kitty isn't mine, but still thought. She may live nextdoor. But she thought I should not pass her house until I'd stopped to pet her. At least she doesn't run away if I get near.

Fyero took to the window this afternoon to watch as the neighbours came home from work.

She's loving that the temperature has been milder lately and she's able to watch the world with the fresh air blowing in.

It's been raining the past couple days so she's been stuck in the house, but if it's dry tomorrow, she'll most likely get a bit of time to roam the yard.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

My wife was re-arranging one of the cabinets and when she turned her back, Phoenix had filled the spot. She likes to get into any space she can.

Thanks everyone for viewing, faving and commenting on my images. Stay well and safe.

Generally I work from home on Friday which means I get to stay in my pajamas while working through emails and spreadsheets but it also means that my supervisor keeps a close eye on what I'm doing.

Fyero doesn't allow for slacking so it's all work no play on the days I stay home.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I don't know why I like this shot so much; the focus is off and it's not centered well but oh well; baby girl sashaying towards the sunlight on a quiet evening after a busy day at the office is just irresistible to me.

Especially because yesterday was a rough day for her; she had a few sickies in the morning and spent the majority of the day fairly lethargic and obviously not feeling well.

It was great to see her getting back to her usual self today.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Can't say I wasn't feeling a little haunted when this sweet little visitor showed up on my step this morning, this little guy reminded me so much of Fyero (but with shorter fur) I was tempted to kidnap him.

Hope he comes by for another visit soon.

Hope everyone is doing well and staying safe.

Fyero was sleepy and not in the mood to be bothered by the camera, but she lives with photographers and it's the risk of sleeping on the dining room chair in front of the Christmas tree.

She knew the risks when she settled in, but I think you can see her displeasure in her expression.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Jo posted a photo of Lulu today; in response to Fyero's portrait I shot on Saturday.

This is Fyero's response to Lulu's response.

We both agreed that Fyero was looking mighty elegant and I guess Lulu felt a little left out.

I showed Fyero Lulu's portrait today; and needless to say, she was unimpressed.

Hard to impress a cat; they have very high standards you know.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I was unloading the clean dishes and he saw an opportunity. He was too cute there to get mad at.

Apparently Fyero was not happy that the first thing I did when I walked in the house was not feed her. It was too early for her dinner but that didn't seem to matter much to her.

Maybe she was just cranky because I had to go to the office today and couldn't spend the day hanging out with her.

It also could have been that Sock was near by and making noise...

You know, it's probably that third option keeping her cranky.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Early Sunday morning / late Saturday night the clock were pushed a head by an hour to adjust for daylight savings time, but if you were worried about Fyero and her strict nap regiment, you had nothing to fear.

She spent Saturday preparing in full nap mode so that when the clocks jumped she was ready.

She just couldn't risk losing that hour of beauty sleep!

Hope everyone had a great Saturday!

Fyero in her happy place enjoying the sunset and watching the squirrels in the front yard.

A bigger bonus for her was that Sock was being a rebel and was banished to the basement for a while (Scott was with him, it's not that terrible of a punishment) and she had the door all to herself.

She cherished every moment.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Can't decide if he's bored or relaxed..............

May 2010 ~ October 10, 2021

We said goodbye to our brave beloved Neutrino on October 10th when his courageous ten month long fight with cancer came to an end. These photos are a collage of some of my "Trino is In" Gallery.

Fyero has become slightly more tolerant of Sock as she adjusts to him in the house; and while she doesn't love him being around she's begrudgingly coming accept that she is his best friend.

She's also picked up on a new activity where she gets high up on the furniture and swats at him as he tries to go by. We think this is her attempt at playing with him, and well he doesn't seem bothered by it.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I don't really recall why Fyero was being a snob on this particular occasion but that's never stopped me and my camera so much to her dismay, she ended up being my photo of the day anyway. :)

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Generally Fyero and Sock don't agree on too much, however, point a camera at them and they can quickly agree that they should both look away and avoid eye contact at all costs.

Nice to see them getting along well enough to spite me and my camera when the sun is shining in so nicely.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Hi. My name is Buddy and I am another feral cat that Alan C brings food & water to. I live here in downtown Marion and I sure enjoy his visits. I still have not made friends, but sure wait for him to show up.

Phoebe was a quiet, sweet girl and was the only constant in my life during a time that was full of change - both good and bad. She was an unusual combination of adventurous and cautious. I lived in an old house with other students when I first arrived in Princeton. She found that she could jump to tree branches or climb on the roof from the second floor bathroom window. I was horrified the first time I saw her on the roof and climbed out onto the roof myself to rescue her. Then one day I saw her jumping on the roof, calm as could be and then climb back in the window when she was ready. With people, it was a different story - she was very cautious. She never fully got used to George. She would sit at the top of the stairs where she could keep an eye on him from a safe distant and then, when he started to climb the stairs she watch him walk up one step at a time. She watched as long as she dared and then ran away just as he was about to reach the top step. She was most comfortable with him when he was sleeping - and then she felt free to investigate him practically nose to nose.

Happy Caturday: good old memories

Fyero was enjoying the view out the backdoor this evening while I was trying desperately just what I could shoot for today's photo.

Whew, she settled in to watch the pigeons and let me fire off a couple shots.

This was the one with the best framing and so this was easily selected as today's winner!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I think Christmas may be Fyero's favourite time of the year, she spends most evenings relaxing under the tree and guarding her carpet from Sock.

I do wish my tree was a little lower to the ground so I could get some really nice shots of her framed by the tree but what can you do when this tree was the best price?

I won't complain, the light looks good on her either way.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

He has three names - his original name of Jack (we are at least his third home), my choice of Jackson and hubby's choice of Zach. But I think he will always be Jack to me, I can't call him anything else since I knew him first before he owned me and arrived at his forever home. Thank you for taking time from your busy day to view, fave and comment on my images. It is always appreciated!

SOOC

Hahaha, Torando Warning my ass!

Windy pictures with my baby.

School wasn't so awful today.

I like stalking. :)

Fyero lounging in the Saturday sun.

The light and the colours of the blanket in the background really caught my eye for this shot, so I was pleasantly surprised when Fyero decided to ignore me and stay where she was.

Generally, she notices the camera and saunters away so this really made my day!

Thanks Fyero!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

The cats love our storm door, whenever we open it there's one-three of them there (and sometimes the dog as well).

Today is my last day away from the office and after 2+ weeks away today was feeling rather subdued and sort of lazy.

There was a lazy air to the whole household and with the exception of myself, everyone managed to sneak a nap in.

I'm not a very good sleeper, so generally if I'm not sick, I won't sleep during the day. While I may have felt the pull of the afternoon lull I resisted knowing that if I slept during the day there would be no way I'd fall asleep tonight and that would just add to the misery of returning to the office.

So instead, Fyero volunteered and soldiered through the napping on my behalf. What a trooper she is too, she spent the majority of the day napping around the house and even inspired Sock and Scott to partake in an afternoon siesta.

Not all heroes wear capes after all.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Saturday continued with nice weather and we were able to keep the door open for the animals; Fyero spent a good deal of time by the backdoor watching all the activity.

Lots of pigeons and squirrels, even a few chickadees!

Her nap was well deserved that evening!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

My wife asked me for a box so I fixed up a new one and sat it on the floor out of my way. When I went to pick it up, I found it was occupied. Phoenix loves her boxes, no matter the size.

Even from her perch on the chaise, Fyero keeps a close eye on the bird feeder just outside the window.

You just never know when a rogue squirrel will show up and need to be stalked from the comfort of the back of the couch, and Fyero is always at the ready... unless she's napping... then the squirrels can do what they want.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Obviously it's a rough life for Fyero; look at her, hardly any room on the couch at all.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Gray Catbird (Dumetella carolinensis) Near Long Pond, Thomson Marsh, Kelowna, BC.

The goal was to pull the bird out of the leaves and deep shadows.... I like both shots, but suspect that many will prefer the Graycat in shadows....
