10 years ago this month, this little girl came into our lives from the local shelter after she picked me to take her to a new home. She enjoys being my office assistant when I'm at my desk.

"Eye Of The Cat" was a horror, suspense movie from 1969. I never did see it, as I don't like horror movies, but I just might watch this. I saw some of it on Youtube. I'll probably watch it in it's entirety later. My model was Poppy, If you look closely you will see a reflection of Jasmine in her eye. I didn't see that until I got it on the computer. I shot this with my Olympus point & shoot.

My neighbors found out that Carbo is a she not a he as they originally thought. Carbo came over to visit the other day - she really wants to be friends with Pie. :)

Fyero was sitting and watching the squirrels through the window and as soon as I showed up with my camera she decided it would be a good time for a nap.

The light was so nice though, so today's photo is brought to you by bribery. Even with the bribe, she only cooperated for the one shot; so while it's not as sharp as I would have liked, it's good enough.

I actually like the way it turned out too; so thank you to Fyero for allowing me one photo!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

On a recent night, Mica finally settles down for sleep, paws crossed, catnip mouse nearby.

Fyero was lounging around under the Christmas tree this evening and was kind enough to stay long enough for me to gran my camera and get at least one shot in focus.

A rare occasion, Christmas lights and my cute kitty? Can't complain about managing this shot!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I don't know what Fyero is going to do when it comes time to put the tree away this year, she's been spending the majority of her time lounging and napping under the tree since it went up earlier this month.

I have a feeling that when it comes time to pack it up, she's going to have a few opinions of her own about that.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

A rare quiet moment for this kitty!

ODC: this makes me happy

and Fizzy sacked out in the background

Fyero likes the grass over by the tree best; no other grass compares to it and if she's outside, there's a good change you'll find her over in Bob's yard munching away.

Today she took a break from the salad to give Sock the evil eye. Don't worry though; the break didn't last too long and she was back to her greens in no time.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

I managed to hit the shutter at just the right second this afternoon. Fyero had jumped up on the couch and was making her way to the window sill but hesitated for just a second before making the leap and I was in the perfect spot to snap this moment.

I've watch her follow this routine multiple times a day for years and have always wanted to get this shot but was never in position or the light was wrong, or... list the endless reasons why it never worked out here...

But today, well today was the day! So needless to say, I'm happy to have finally capture this moment!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Fyero and Sock were both enchanted by a piece of a pomegranate tree this afternoon, Fyero wanted to eat it and Sock... well he just wanted to be part of the fun.

I had Scott dangle the branch while I snapped a couple pictures.

Not the best due to the back light, but I still think it's a pretty cute shot of the two of them.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Fyero wasn't feeling too well when I woke up this morning, she'd had a sickie throughout the night and was a bit dehydrated this morning.

So, poor girl had to deal with me forcing her to drink some water before I left for work.

Scott was kind and checked on her frequently throughout the day and made sure she constantly had fresh water.

It's good to have some who works from home on days like these.

Happily, Fyero seems to have bounced back to her (almost) usual self by the time I walked in after work and was poking about.

I managed to snag this shot of her while she was deciding if she should nap on the couch or bug me for food.

Right place, right time.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Fyero was napping so sweetly this afternoon and I tried to get a photo of her so peaceful, but just the removal of my lens cap disturbed her and suddenly she was awake to give me and my camera a cranky look.

Standard with her. She's not a fan of me trying to get nice photos of her and is probably my most difficult model.

Honestly, toddlers cooperate better. But that's okay, she's a sweetheart anyway.

Hope everyone has had a good Caturday!

Fyero seems to be itching for spring just like the rest of us so I decided to pick up some cat grass for her the other day.

Looks like it was the right choice, she jumped right up and starting chowing down as soon as I put it down.

A happy cat is a happy house... right?

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Definitely the sultan of the house

Yesterday was a fairly lazy day for the majority of the household. Scott and I met Nard and Jo for breakfast early in the day and then spent the majority of the day chillaxing.

I spent a few hours in the kitchen when we got back preparing (American) Thanksgiving dinner; then spent the rest of the afternoon hanging around with Scott while he played his new Pokémon game on the Switch.

My folks came by for dinner (with their kitties) afterwards.

Throughout it all; Fyero put us to shame with her relaxation skills. No one does lazy day better than her.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Thank You all for your kind votes............I am very honored by your kindness and support.

Just Shiraz lounging on a favorite spot.

I everyone, my name is Buddy and I am a feral cat living on the edge of downtown Marion. Several weeks ago AlanC saw me in the parking lot where I spend most of my time. He came over to me, but I hid underneath a small bus. I have a food bowl there that the guys in the nearby plumbing business put food in. They also keep food and water bowls along the front of their business for me and the other ferals that frequent the area.

AlanC left me some really good food and fixed up a water bowl just under the edge of the bus. I now don't hide when he comes by, but I'm not yet ready to have contact. I know when his car pulls up I am going to get good cat food and fresh water,

I was being super stealthy this afternoon. Fyero was giving me sass (standard) and did not want the camera pointed in her general direction.

But the light was absolutely gorgeous and I wasn't okay with passing up a shot.

So while she was sipping her water I slithered along the floor and managed to sneak around a corner and grab this shot.

I'm happy I was persistent because I really like the way this one turned out.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

My wife was re-arranging one of the cabinets and when she turned her back, Phoenix had filled the spot. She likes to get into any space she can.

Yesterday was a portrait of Sock in the beautiful lighting that was streaming through the window and today was Fyero's turn.

She generally doesn't like cooperating with me when the camera is involved so I was pleasantly surprised when she stayed firmly seated on the stairs and let me snap a couple shots.

Luckily, one turned out before she prematurely ended the photoshoot and left the area to avoid the dog.

Whew! Photo done with ease today!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

In Bert's defense, this wasn't HIS toy - some client left it behind when she picked up her cat from boarding. Next, he refused to even acknowledge its existence, let alone play with it - unlike Kingsley who couldn't get enough of it. (Remember Kingsley? He was the miracle hospital cat who was recently adopted. His departure post is in the comments below). Finally, this toy is NOT made from ELEPHANT DUNG although it looks like it is. It's some sort of hollow ball made from something mixed with dried catnip. Very, very strange. We finally threw it out because it wasn't that popular and it looked so disgusting.

Fyero had the right idea today; she spent the majority of the day napping and relaxing. I should have followed her lead because I've been dragging all day.

I think I slept for maybe an hour last night and just couldn't find my way to dreamland so by 4 this morning I'd given up.

I've been too tired. I can function well on little sleep; but it's been about two weeks of barely any and it's catching up with me.

I can feel the fatigue in my brain, it's slowly me down and making my reactions a little more dramatic.

Fingers crossed I can get some sleep tonight, but on the upside, when my insomnia acts like this, it usually means the seasons are changing.... so maybe spring and summer are truly on their way!

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Fyero took to the window this afternoon to watch as the neighbours came home from work.

She's loving that the temperature has been milder lately and she's able to watch the world with the fresh air blowing in.

It's been raining the past couple days so she's been stuck in the house, but if it's dry tomorrow, she'll most likely get a bit of time to roam the yard.

Hope everyone has had a good day.

Work was chaotic and way too busy today which left very little time for a lunch break (honestly my lunch break was walking between two buildings to get from one meeting to another) so I wasn't able to go searching for spring colours.

Luckily Fyero was perfectly perched when I got home from work and I was able to grab a very quick shot of her that I actually really like. I love when she perches like this and can never have enough shot of her like this.

Hope everyone has had a good day.
