This is the Gray Hairstreak. Looks a lot like the Eastern Tailed Blue which is also posted next shot to the left. Both shots were taken on the same patch of milkweed on the same day. Plant some milkweed. They butterflies will love you for it.
The high elevation of the mountain coupled with the rainy weather at the time resulted in gray clouds being predominant in the entire landscape.

I apologize for the late delay, as I had recently purchased a new laptop computer and was busy setting it up.
Also, on a related note, as I had begun editing on my new laptop as well, there might be some changes regarding processing compared to my older pictures.

I love my weekends Sure I get to wear comfortable enough clothing at work, but days off allow for the comfiest items in my closet, like these gray leggings and the super soft sweatshirt you can't see.
As the weather's colder now, it's predominantly boots for me now, like this pair by muk luk. I like that their laces are long but that length makes it easy to get them on and off because I can loosen them so much. They also have speed hooks for that reason, unfortunately, after maybe half a dozen wears a number of the hooks have broken their rivets and are in danger of breaking off.

Gray Jays have to be the boldest bird up here. They will go into your tent to look for food, land on your shoulder while you eat and my favorite; work in pairs to steal dog food from my dogs while they are trying to eat. One will draw off the dog while the other steals food. The dogs have yet to catch on.
This guy was taken at Wonder Lake, the reddish color behind is the blueberrie plants taking on their fall colors.
The Gray-headed Swamphen is native to the Middle East and south Asia, but escapes began to establish a breeding population in southern Florida in the early 1990's. Now these birds seem to be spreading up the peninsula and into northern Florida. I took this photo near where I live in north Florida.
Gray Cat was his actual name. Because of his amazingly uniform gray coloring, it seemed the only appropriate name for him.

It's been quite a while since we have been able to get out due to weather, another extreme bout of eczema and my father being diagnosed with terminal cancer. Through it all, I'm still keeping my head above water and the girlfriend's awesome support is helping to keep my sanity.
I am hoping to get again in the coming weeks.
Dad, this one is for you...even if you can't see it. Love U!!!
