This piece began as a timed 30 minute exercise. The objective was to fill an A1 sheet with observational drawings, capturing different angles and perspective from a putlog by using lose and expressive movements. I extended this piece for a further 2-3 hours focusing on directional markings to add depth and a 3rd dimension. I used a variety of tones and mark making to add texture within the piece and allow some surfaces to be brought forward and others pushed to the background.
