My initial sketch in graphite. This was more delicate and the drawing might have been better served to be done all in graphite. This and the "pen drawing and feather" photos were taken on my desk under a lamp. You can see the difference in color between this and the natural light photo of "colored pencil and feather".
In person, the feather's coloring looked much like the photos taken under the lamp.

Gate to abandoned graphite mine "Josef I".
Lenght of tunnel was 102 m. Gate is ca. 1.5 m in diameter. From year 1879 to 1890 there was mined 3174 tons of highest quality graphite, most of it was exported to Great Britain.
