Usually banding (Those lines you see are actually a graphics flaw. My graphics card is old and under powered.) is a bad thing, but in this case they give an effect to this portrait that I like.

Not all flaws are bad. : )

I'm often struck at the differences in styles, preferences, and processing that photographers/artists display and pursue.

One loves realism, another prefers an abstract look.

Some want pure, out of camera images, others love graphics and a lot of manipulation.

I guess I like it all and dabble with any style and representation that strikes my fancy.

The image above is a perfect example of that.

Love it or hate it, that's fine. Art is about freedom and it is about expression, and whatever makes the artist happy. It's not always about what others think and how it will be received or embraced.

So, enjoy... (if you can) Either way, it's all good :)

Vintage Olympus Zuiko OM 2.0 28 mm customized by OM Labor on Sony A7RII

The 700 years old windmill "Geismühle" beside the autobahn A57 west near Krefeld, one of the oldest mills for cereals of the lower Rhine region.

This installation deliberately engulfs us: its high-contrast graphics seem to move before our eyes, producing a dizzying field of colours. Steering away from their classic palette of red, blue and green, General Idea experimented with alternate colour combinations in these three paintings. The canvasses are installed over the group’s AIDS Wallpaper – a work whose repetitive pattern references the replication of the HIV virus.

Things I ♥ Month Continues! I'll bet you thought I was going to say I love Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, right? OK, it's true--I do, but this photo captures an even bigger love of mine...

Macro Photography: Nothing opens up your eyes more to the world around you—and the world of photography—than shooting 1:1 (or greater) macros. It's truly like seeing things for the first time: the details, crisp edges and the tiny, individual elements. Of course, shooting candy this close has its risks: calories. :)~
