Project: Corporate identity for Armatta (school project)
Concept: Step two in an ongoing branding project for an independant montreal based contemporary art/urban/trendy art gallery. The logo works as a system that can shift and be reconstructed for countless forms of application. An ever changing identity shifts and evolves to accomodate to the ever-changing art-scene. The shapes themselves are composed of the logotype's letterforms.
Application will always involve a unity between the logo's application in it's simplicity, as well as it's pattern-based execution. This unity reflects the idea of a gallery, as well as the concept of art itself.
A.M. Cassandre, master of contemporary graphics and typography. This 1927 poster was designed to advertise the "North Star", a night train between Paris and Amsterdam. There is more than one version of this.
Classic example of a New Graphic Design layout using only two colors, (a two color run for a printing press is much cheaper than full color) but was an exciting visual utilizing space, tension, asymmetrical layout, and san serif letterform.
This was the brochure that represented Australia at the 1974 World's Fair in Spokane. Very New Graphic Design in its layout.
This brochure was designed to mark the completion of the AIM project, The Uganda AIDS/HIV Integrated Model District Program (AIM) which was funded by the U.S. Agency for International Development. www.jsi.com/JSIInternet/FeatureStories/AIM/index.cfm
My firend Porter has this awesome pano camera with which she takes...awesome panos. I particularly LOVE the minimal winter landscape ones, so I took the liberty of remixing them.

What will it take to have an intelligent and fair discussion about gun control in America? After twenty children and seven adults were killed by an assault weapon, can't we sit down and talk about this without the rhetoric, anger, or shield of the 2nd Amendment? Gun control advocates aren't asking to ban guns. But they are asking to find a place where we can all feel safer. Who needs an assault rifle to hunt? Who needs armor-piercing bullets? To my knowledge no known sighting of a deer or duck in armor has ever been recorded.
The Washington Post published Five Myths About Gun Control. This is a good place to start the discussion.
