Para Happy Colors: Frutas

So the chief cupbearer told his dream to Joseph, and said to him, "In my dream there was a vine before me,and on the vine there were three branches. As soon as it budded, its blossoms came out and the clusters ripened into grapes." (Genesis / 40,9)

Jam or Wine?.........

grape [uva madura]

Sea grape in its full glory in my back yard. Sea Grape is a native tree to Florida. The grapes are edible , very sweet but with a large seed so there isn't much fruit. I spend a lot of time raking the falling grape seeds. The squirrels and birds love to eat the grapes. The tree produces grapes in late summer/early fall and in early spring.

In 2007 I had lots of grapes. In 2008 the vine just grew and I had no grapes. This year I have some 10 extra meters of vine and it is loaded with grapes. They already taste sweet but can use a bit more sun. Trouble is, tha magpies like them as well.

On a morning drive up to Oakville, CA in Napa valley, I spied the rising sun filtering through this vineyard near Rutherford, CA. BTW, the grapes in this region were all picked last month, so only a few leftover clusters remain. I jumped out of the car to catch this backlit shot with the FA 150mm lens. I think this is bokeh at f/5.6.

Hope you like it. I ate a few grapes while I was in here and they were so delicious.

Muscari is a genus of perennial bulbous plants native to Eurasia that produce spikes of dense, most commonly blue, urn-shaped flowers resembling bunches of grapes in the spring. The common name for the genus is Grape Hyacinth, but they should not be confused with Hyacinths. They are sometimes also commonly referred to as bluebells, though certain regions reserve this name for bluebonnets instead. A number of species of Muscari are used as ornamental garden plants.
