San Sebastián during the day was beautiful, but when the sunlight dimmed, the appearance of the water grew more and more dramatic, illuminated only at times by a distant lighthouse

Really I cannot take credit for this idea, as it has been done before, but I think it is really beautiful and have been really interested in gradients recently. So credits and thanks to the many artist who have inspired me to try this out for myself.

One of the upsides of having guests from out of town is visiting all those places you don't bother to go otherwise.

This Desert Vista Dyeworks yarn is dyed so that the color modulates gradually from light to dark.

Various color gradients applied to a Miravi image of Japan and the Sea of Japan region. OK - this one isn't so colorful...
