I keep seeing images like these on tumblr but none that are big enough to be a wallpaper, so I made some! Feel free to use, credit is always nice. If you want any specific colors, I wouldn't mind making more :-)
Alternating Gradient Synchrotron (AGS). Aerial view of the AGS, 1968. From 1960 to 1968, the AGS was the highest energy proton accelerator in the world. It is now used as an injector for Brookhaven's Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider.
My Mount July sayulita gradient filter got here today! The weather stank so I didn't actually even go outside with it but here, see, it looks cool.

the gradient unfolded without interruption.
Sun hanging over the arête of Magura (1109 m a.s.l., about 20km north of Polish-Czech border) as I'm ascending the snow-covered mountain. Darkness aplenty spread before me... Picture -15 celsius, half a meter of snow, and just one second to press the shutter release:)

After 5 years of reliable service, I say goodbye to Zenit 12XP. Switching to Nikon F3, already 7 negs shot and loving it. However, I still use modified/adapted Russian Helios 55MM lens here . Nikkors are due later... A strong gradient filter used here, positioned diagonally, gives this eerie look.

More tech: paper - 13x18cm barite print on Ilford FB MG, developed in Ilford PQ, fixed in Fomafix. Neg positioned in a 6x6 setup, hence the margins are visible with perforation, and the borders are a bit curved as the film was not perfectly flat. Yellow Fomavariant filter used to decrease effective contrast.
Neg: Ilford FP4+ (nominally 125ISO, pushed to 200ISO here) dev in D76, fixed in Fomafix.
