This old mailbox has been kicking around out in near by woods where I hike, for many years now. Someone moved it about twenty feet from where it was last year.
As the sun sets behind the Lake Mountains, Rio Grande Zephyr train No. 17 sails through Ironton, Utah on May 15, 1976. In less than five minutes, the classic streamliner will make its regular station stop in Provo.
Living the railfan's dream down here on the border between Evergreen Park and Chicago. Good homes, good neighborhood and about 15-20 moves a day on CSX's Blue Island Sub.
So, I got brave....hubby and I bathed Fozzie for the 1st time by ourselves and groomed him....he turned out so good and I was shocked at how well he behaved!!!
Many narrow and winding alleys shape the district's urban image today. The cathedral La Seu forms the centre of the district. Many sunny squares with buildings full of history gather around the cathedral. The district was renovated from the ground up several times, most recently for the Olympic Games in 1992. The old structure is preserved effortful and lovingly even today.

We arrived for the first evening of our holiday last night to glorious and somewhat unexpected sunshine. Straight to the beach. I got up for a sunrise shoot this morning after 3 hours sleep and really wish I hadn't. It was more than a bit rubbish.

Why am I making this hard on myself
When there’s so many beautiful reasons I have to be happy
This was taken on the last batch of test film that was released by the Impossible Project 3 months ago. Quinn and I got some pretty good results and I got to rummage her stuff and rearrange it. I love shooting indoors, because the way a scene looks is a bit more fluid. I can slide a couch out of the way, put up a backdrop, or move everything closer to the windows so I can utilize the natural light that's available. As a matter of fact, using the light coming in through the windows was important on this shoot for testing something else, because I was still getting the hang of my new SLR 680. I don't think I'd done more than one or two other shoots with that camera, and I'm probably just now getting the hang of it. I takes a lot of testing to get used to these old cameras and new film types.

Lesson Learned: tried to add a little contrast, but any addition at all, completely 'burned' the nose right off the Zebra and lost all detail. Hope everyone is satisfied with what I ended up with?

Sorry I've not been commenting the past few days, been having a few problems for a while with legs and arms/hand, the arm and hand problems escalated a few days ago, pain in right arm and also fingers on right arm, along with injury to palm of right hand, makes it a bit difficult to type at times. Not too bad this morning so will try to visit later today, at present off to the doctors and then maybe on somewhere to enjoy the summery weather we're experiencing at present. I love animals, but no freakin way I could put up with the hair all over the place. Plus, the companionship wouldn't be worth the hassle of feeding and potty breaks, besides there's just not enough room.
I'd like to say this Northern Copperhead is lying in wait to protect his buddy Garter Snake but in all reality they are just basking buddies. 7-19-16.
The birds love this stump so I cleaned off some of the snow so I could put seeds and peanuts out for them, they couldn't wait to get at the peanuts! It amazes me how they can hold a peanut in that tiny beak!
