It's the time of year when the googly eyed eggs appear around here and dress up for the Easter weekend. Seems that some have missed the latest fashion trend, though. :)
This is what happens when you sneak up on a flower and shout 'Boo!' lol.
The theme this week is 'Think Pink' and I had several ideas but kept coming back to this one, I've done similar before and it just makes me smile :) Put googly eyes on and instantly there's a surprised face 'mouth' open :) This beautiful gerbera is certainly very pink too!
I apologise for the groans in advance :)
Taken for the theme of 'Herbs' for the SOS group.
Party Thyme loves party hats & music, Encourage mint is a kind and thoughtful herb, specialising in motivational speech :)
Egbert the duck egg is cosy & snug in this fine woolly hat :)
Taken for today's theme of 'White and Red'. Funny and colourful lol.
I’ve just joined the Eyes of March two group so I thought I’d bring this back around to post there —- grin

I think it's safe to say that Monty the mouse made a big impression on the cheese. :) The bigger danger was Linus the cat, though, as he was very interested in the cheese too.
The theme this week in the 'Smile on Saturday' group is the 'Things with teeth'! I struggled at first but after some googling online I got this inspiration :)
Red coat, blue dog towel and a googly eye and voilà! lol. Watch out for the red snapper if you go swimming in the sea!

Taken, way-to-closely-to-be-safe, for Macro Mondays 'Magnet' theme (16-May-2022). Fah! The risks I take for MM! 🐊😅
Have a fun HMM everyone! 😁

I gave Olive a trim yesterday, bit neater but still fluffy lol. She gets bored so I do it in bits. Here she is sat on the sofa with her furry 'ghost' friend :)
Enough snow for some fun. I tried to make a snow version of Olive lol, it looks like a dog anyway :) The snow 'Olive' wore her collar and a hazelnut for a nose.
Yes food bribery was used here as the living Olive didn't want to keep still & kept licking the snow version :)
They had fun in the snow before this too: flic.kr/p/2ky5bXG
My second USB Sugru sculpture. Perhaps not *entirely* convincing as a duck - the body is designed to fit as well as possible into the small rectangular space next to a USB socket - but I'm pretty happy with it all the same.
The beak was hastily carved from a nearby stick, and treated with linseed oil for protection.
By crikey, it's hard work trying to get little things to behave themselves!
This weeks (10-Apr-2023) Macro Mondays theme is 'Knolling'.
I had a couple of goes with two different types of objects. This one, and one with shells. Since last time we did Knolling in MM I used shells, I've decided to use this photo with a bunch of various objects. My photo is exactly the size limit.
I have uploaded the shell photo too if you want to have a look.
Have a lovely Monday everyone.

The theme this week is 'Fluffy', so many possibilities but I like fun & quirky and this one of Evie's paw makes me smile every time :) A fluffy mini me and she was so good to wait patiently. I want to try this with Olive some time, wish me luck!
Googly eyes, cat biscuit nose and paper tongue and parted fur to make her ears. The tiny pebble is because she loves pebbles lol.

Dear friends,
I accidentally changed the status of this image and all of the FAVES were deleted.
I apologize for that, as those were the 1st Faves I ever received on Flickr... and I enjoyed looking back on them.
I'm not sure who all had given Faves, but I hope you understand that they meant a lot to me, so thank you again for the great memories of my beginnings here : )
And THANK YOU to all those who may leave new Faves from here forward : )
Wishing you all the best!
☺

CRUSH
I met a cute family of mushrooms on my walk in the forest on Sunday morning. It looked as if they huddled together because it was so cold. When I started taking photos I remembered the googly eyes I had with me and couldn't resist ...
This small sign is at a local nature reserve, hence dogs on leads, I made the sign more appealing with a couple of my smallest googly eyes :)

(a "Flickr Friday" submission, theme "Fur")
This is a "bold jumping spider" or "daring jumping spider" (Phidippus audax) (male, I think). It's a big black fur-covered spider with bright metallic green iridescent chelicerae. Like all jumping spiders, he sports endearingly big, dark, teddy bear eyes, giving him a "cuteness" factor far above all others of his 8-legged kind.
This one was hanging out on the ceiling near all the seedlings in the kitchen. In this shot, he is defending himself "boldly" against me as he stands on my notebook. I relocated him to the big lemon tree plant to see if he'd eat some of the tiny flies that have started showing up in its soil. He just sprang away.

The snow was too hard yesterday to make a snowman/woman/chicken, so I made Bob the blob :) He's happy, for now, the snow is beginning to melt :(
I bathed Olive & Margo yesterday and gave them a trim today, turned out ok lol. Evie's turn tomorrow!
Sorry I've been mostly absent, I hope all is good with everyone.
The theme this week for the SoS group is 'Fancy Fence'. I had a few ideas but this was my immediate thought and it tickled me, I was like a big child creating Fergus lol. I made sure no-one was around before I started ha ha.
The felt hat is borrowed from a toy, googly eyes, scratched on smile and I printed a bow tie from the internet and cut it out for this, being paper it was flapping in the wind, but I managed some photos :) I think Fergus makes a funny and charming fancy fence.
