This is an elevator door from the Chrysler Building, set against red African marble walls and travertine floors. For complete post, click here to go to New York Daily Photo.
yes yes I know this is sad but when the time comes to make a cut out for unusual bokeh, imagination suddenly seems to go out of the window. Sarah; don't even think of commenting...
I have a friend whose catch phrase is, "go home." A couple months back, my family went on a trip to New York. When we were underground catching a subway, I saw this sign. I had to take a picture of it. I bet all the New Yorkians were just like, "look... another tourist." Whatever :) So, I doubt he ever checks my flickr, but this picture is for my buddd!
Yeahhh, this picture is extremely over edited; the raw photo wasn't exactly the best of quality to begin with (it's dark underground). It'd either be a extremely noise-y picture, or a hazy one, so I went with the hazy/blurry feel. I actually don't like it very much, but on a more optimistic note, I'm almost near 2000 views! Hooray!
... I promise my next picture won't be so BS-ful... ahaha.
Not going to Saltwell Park today instead shining out in the sun in lovely South Tyneside seen here in Hebburn making a rare appearance on South Tyne Service 88A to Luke's Lane Estate

A GO transit locomotive hiding in the VIA yard ( toronto) awaiting an assignment up north or in Montreal, last time I found one outside the yard, this one made its way in.
For Go Green 2021, APM Terminals Lazaro Cardenas started a campaign for all employees to plant and adopt a tree, to help offset their carbon footprint.
Every year we celebrate the long weekend (the first wknd in August in Canada) at our friend's cottage on Go Home Lake which is in the Muskoka region of Southern Ontario. There's the usual regatta for cottagers ... kids water-skiing ... lots of good food, drinks and good old fashioned summer fun.
It also happens to be our anniversary weekend and this was our 41st! Can't think of a better way to celebrate it than go to Go Home Lake!
NO INVITES with BIG SPARKLY GRAPHICS. PLEASE, TRY TO RESPECT MY WISHES.
I prefer simple honest comments, rather then a copy & paste of an award code.
Many thanks!
Drove all the way out to a spot I used to go to watch trains years ago. (like 25 years ago) There was a little restaurant next to the tracks that had burgers, tacos, and beer. We'd go up there and order our tacos and a pitcher of beer and sit outside on the patio on the benches, and bench railcars going by looking for cool graffiti. There were five rails that converged in this one spot, so trains were coming through about once every 5-10 minutes. I never brought a camera and never really even thought about taking photos of the graffiti. That place was torn down years ago to build a bridge, and it's a lot harder to access that location now and there were railroad workers on that side working. I ended up on the other side of the tracks and waited for over 2 hours, and NO TRAINS. WTF? So I ended up heading the other direction and finding some cars parked. By the time I shot those cars, I saw the lights of a train coming from the other direction, sped up there go out and grabbed some shots of one on the move.
Today I brought out two cameras and two lenses. Fujifilm X-E3, and Fujifilm X-Pro1. Two lenses. 23mm Fuji f/2, and an old Helios 58mm F/2 with m42 to X-mount adapter. Shot a few with the 58mm, but it was just too long. Most of today's shots were with the 23mm on either the Fuji bodies.
Had Fun.

...wonderful small grocery in Marfa with one of the best selections of chocolate I've seen in a long time (especially in a small store, in a tiny town): Taza drinking chocolates, Dolfin, Dagoba (including my absolute favourite, Lavender Blueberry), and Scharffenberger.
This is Inari Okami and she is a beautiful Shiba Inu. She was patiently waiting to go home after having her picture taken during the Portraits in the Park fundraiser.

The day is going and that bit of sunset glow on the skyscrapers is fun to see while the car cruise folks are going up and down and up and down Central Avenue in Phoenix, Arizona.
