Certainly after the referendum everyone and everything has gone bananas here and in the whole country, but life carries on folks! (sorry, not original image but I like the idea)
116 in 2016 # 90 Go Bananas!
amid the hustle of hannover airport, a lone traveler descends on the mechanical escalator, immersed in thought. the symmetry of the moving steps, the soft hum of the machinery, and the stark lines of the surrounding architecture frame this moment of transit. in the solitude of the journey, there’s a quiet anticipation, a gentle descent towards a new destination or a welcome return.
“Our planet’s alarm is going off, and it is time to wake up and take action!” – Leonardo DiCaprio
Can’t think of another quote which is more applicable this year!

Oh no no oh no
Not broken
In two not you
Like the seed you grow
Under it all
You're roots take hold
Smooth out the creases
Then you'll see
And when you fall
Down in between them all
Here you are whole
Not broken
On and on hold on
Not broken
Just loose at the seams
Oh no no don't let go
Just listen
Goodness increases
You will see
And when you fall
Down in between them all
Here you are whole
Not broken
Leave it behind
All of the pain inside
Here you will be
Not broken
Through the crowd, patchwork souls
Move closer
Closer
And when you fall
Down in between them all
Here you are whole
Not broken
Leave it behind
All of the pain inside
Here you will be
Not broken
You will see
You will see

Historic Village of Shirakawa-gō ( a UNESCO World Heritage Site)
Shirakawa-go (Shirakawa Village) is a Japanese mountain settlement in what was once considered a wild and unexplored region. Because of the area’s natural environment, with high mountains and heavy snowfall, interaction with neighboring regions was limited. However, this also created the conditions for the development of unique cultural practices and lifestyles. Now registered as a World Cultural Heritage site.
Don't worry, it is only me.

I was out in California a week ago visiting my cousin, Gerry, and his family (Sandi had a conference and I tagged along).
More here:
We met for a moment and then it's goodbye
but I just lived a lifetime with you in my mind
what would it be to live in your world
if you were my boy and I was your girl
it's crazy this spell you have me under
I know it can't be but I'll always wonder
what would my life be living in your arms
I feel I'll never know
and what would you say
if I were to stay
and just go your way
this is where you lose your mind
and just let your heart unwind
you're blind don't lose control
you're mind don't lose it all

At 1.5 mile long (2.5km) the Forth Railway Bridge, was the world’s first major steel bridge, with its gigantic girder spans of 1710 ft (521m) it ranks as one of the great feats of Victorian civilization. It was begun in 1883 and formally completed on 4 March 1890.

What I have caught here is Pokémon Go hunters !
Apparently if you are a Pokemon monster there is
no where to hide, no where at all .....;-)~~~
Plan was upon my arrival back home in Thailand
no# 1 and I were going straight out to the monkey
temple and care for the dogs. Well, we have a small
problem. Dogs are being cared for by the nuns so
there is no problem there. The main problem is me !
In an hour my brother-in-law is taking me back to the
hospital for more x-rays. The trip to Laos has really got
my broken ribs in an uproar. Not to panic as this is just
a small speed bump in life. Doctor told me before I left
that I would be seeing him again, guess he wasn't kidding.
As for this photo, I'm about a meter up in the air on a small
cement platform between two power poles. From the hotel
where I was staying I could step right onto the platform
without having to do any climbing. At 1/13th of a second it
was a bit tricky to grab focus using spot metering/focus.
A few photos came out as usable and they will be shared
with you over the next few days or weeks.
Thank You.

During 2011-13, I did a project called Going Underground with 100 photos using slow shutter speeds to record my impressions of the hustle and bustle of London's underground tube network. This is one of my favourite images at Tottenham Court Road station.
For Smile on Saturday theme of “Going Up”, a mother and daughter going up the stairs, followed by Luisa.

If you live in Central Ohio, you better be an Ohio State University football fan! The team is also known as The Buckeyes.
This ring belongs to my son-in-law who played football for OSU. He was an Offensive Guard on the team for 4 years. The team won the Sugar Bowl, one of several national football championships, in 1998. He let me borrow several of his awards from the time he was there. I had to promise to give them back but I'm thinking about selling them (just kidding!).
In the background is a tiny replica of the stadium.
