(RE-EDITED (for the third time): I did dodge/highlights on the eyes, re-did the Gaussian blur, and adjusted curves slightly)
This photo is probably my favorite of the week. I wanted to put that red background to use again and use color in a way that was uncomfortable and disruptive. I purposely picked a syrup that was red, but was a bright, synthetic looking red. I didn't want it to look too much like blood. More like unnatural goo.
The process was a nightmare. It was disgusting and took forever. I cut up a huge garbage bag and laid it on the floor of my bathroom. I threw the red blanket over the shower to act as a background. I had to take my shirt off so that the syrup wouldn't ruin it. I set up my camera on a tripod on the sink with a self-timer that would take 10 shots. Then, I would fill up my mouth with strawberry syrup (which tastes horrible, really, really horrible) and then when the camera started taking pictures, I just opened my mouth and let it all run out. I probably did about four rounds of that. By the time I was done, I was covered in syrup and standing in a giant pool of it.
Oh, and lighting. I had the fluorescent lights in my bathroom on, but I wanted my skin to be brighter so I set up my industrial light on the ground to my right, pointing up at my face. I think this is one of the better jobs I've ever done with lighting. It's usually much more of a struggle for me.
Editing was levels and curves. Then, I did some clone-stamping to get rid of blemishes. Finally, a did a mask layer with a gaussian blur to make my skin look more glowy and bright.

Being a glutton for punishment, I decided to sneak outside to take some pictures of Dark World Thor, a movie that apparently most people hated, whereas I loved. i'm guessing it had something to do with the story line?
Anyway, Thor arrived to me during a period of transition between hobbies, and I guess I just never got around to taking any decent photos of the figure whatsoever.
Being an older figure, clearly the sculpt shows signs of age, although to be fair, it was still in use until Roadworn Thor, give or take a few blonde highlights. As always, the likeness is there.. ish, but always is off the mark in some shape or form. In this case, I feel its the shape of the lower jaw, giant forehead, and the shallowness of the cheeks that are mainly responsible for throwing off the accuracy. Oh, that and the fact Thor is a Brunette here.
Detailing on the outfit is superb as always, but doesn't allow the poor guy to do any real posing, particularly with regards to its upper body, which isn't really done any favours by the arms, which as you may recall came in two flaours of rubber - unarmoured or battle ready.
Mjolnir is die cast, and as a result causes further posing restrictions due to weight of the thing, but at least it looks pretty.
Overall, he looks badass in a museum pose with his hammer in hand
Wolverine, or Glutton, Gulo gulo have a reputation for being ferocious, they also seem rather playful. They are members of the weasel family.

Benjamin was a glutton, with a beer belly to prove it, and enjoyed lying in the sun and flirting with my two dogs. He had a long and free life, with acres of fields and woodland to explore, but kept himself aloof, seldom purring even in the presence of food. He was, one would say, very much his own cat….

Famous Glutton Street of Muar
Our ritual for every Chinese New Year is to stop by at this famous eating place when we first arrive in Muar. Otak-Otak, is my favorite and the most I look forward to eat! It's delicious :)
Love the food in Muar but not the heat!

Yup. He's a glutton. The bread was for the birds.
BTW - he'd just eaten a pile of hot chilli coated chicken. Daft mog.
